Download file to see previous pages... Terrorists attacks on New York and Pentagon had a great impact on the world and United States. This essay focuses on describing each of the attacks and gives information on fatalities and distructions, that were caused on the 11th of September, 2001. In this essay three attacks are described. Two of them, caused by aircrafts (United Airlines Flight 175 and American Airlines Flight 11) crashed into the World Trade Center in New York City, one plane into each tower. The pilot of the third team crashed American Airlines Flight 77 into the Pentagon in Arlington County, Virginia. There was also the fourth aircraft, passengers of which attempted to retake control from the hijackers, but soon that plane also crashed.
This essay also describes the aftermath of the events, heroic acts of many rescuers, firefighters and policemen. Survivors described scenes of great carnage and human loss, and Americans at home and around the world suffered anxiety over loved ones, and experienced shock over the traumatizing scenes. Though many people died that day, 24 still remain missing.
In conclusion of the essay it states that many United States citizens held the view that these attacks "changed the world forever." Also, the Bush administration acts after the events are discussed, as well as declared war on terrorism. This essay also suggests that these attacks became the reason to bring Osama bin Laden and al-Qaeda to justice and prevent the emergence of other terrorist networks in the future. ...Download file to see next pagesRead More
