History of China as One of the Leading Developing Countries - Essay Example

Mao Zedong motivated several communists to follow his ideal and pathway. The leader tried to develop a communist country and wipe out the concept of capitalism from China. Throughout his life, the leader tried to fight for labor and the individual rights of people. Several approaches and actions failed after 1949. For example, Great Leap Forward and Cultural Revolution in the year 1966 failed due to the reform of the social and economic structure of the country. However, these revolutions and actions did not last for long. Then, the Chinese economy stagnated. Moreover, several Chinese citizens lived in the invariable fear of arrest.

            On the other hand, Deng Xiaoping was a veteran of the Long March. He was a close advisor to Mao Zedong. After the death of Mao Zedong, Deng Xiaoping was politically recuperated. After the death of his leader, Deng Xiaoping was the only living original Mao supporter. Deng boarded on four economic pillars, such as industry, agriculture, defense, and technology. The economy of China reformed under the leadership of Deng Xiaoping. The National People’s Congress included the term Socialist Market Economy in China’s constitutions in the year 1993.

The level of pollution and greenhouse gas emissions is increasing dramatically due to rapid industrialization. However, the demand for people is increasing continuously due to the technological revolution. High oil and gas consumption increase in number of vehicles and the burning of fossil fuel is increasing the level of carbon emission. According to a survey conducted by the Chinese Ministry of Health, pollution is the major reason behind several critical human diseases. Cancer, Respiratory problems are the major consequences of pollution. Moreover, the lack of safe drinking water is causing diseases like cholera and diarrhea.

            The government of China is trying to develop environmental policies to reduce social and environmental threats. They are trying to motivate industries and organizations to conduct sustainable business practices. The government of China set up a water storage and recycling center in Beijing to provide pure and safe drinking water for the Chinese people (Wu, 2012). Moreover, they are planning to develop several projects that can help the mankind in near future. China is practically choking on its great economic run and significant economic success. The government needs to take sustainable initiatives and implement a green strategy to reduce the threat of environmental disorder.

            Traditionally religion has had an important role within Chinese society and community since the establishment of the Chinese communist party. After the republication period, the government of China started to rethink its religious stance. China is known as one of the most economically developing countries in the world. Several industries are playing an important role in the economic growth of China. The domestic and international tourist industry, the fashion industry, and the food and beverage industry are contributing significantly to the Chinese economy. Several foreign private players are trying to enter in Chinese potential business market to secure a potential customer base. Therefore, the Chinese government is trying to provide respect to the people of all religions. On the other hand, the government of China is promoting its unique religion and culture in the global marketplace to drive its tourism industry successfully. In this modern era of globalization and advanced technology, several countries are focusing on their service industry as the service industry is considered the major economic growth driver. The Chinese people are trying to come out from the preserved and traditional religious concept to ensure effective individual and professional exposure (Tong, 2012). However, the government of China is doing the right thing to blend the Chinese traditional religious views with the modern era to achieve and secure an effective economic run and economic sustainability. Effective integration will help the country to develop its social and economic structure in the near future.
