However, while some people believe that being a leader comes naturally to people, others believe that the field of politics can be taught (Scammel, 1999, 261-262). In the contemporary world, politics is occasionally termed as a fixed process of “the manner in which political parties interact with one another and convey their message to the public” (Scammel, 1999, 265-266). There is a discipline involved which governs the field and clearly dictates the routines and rituals required to run contemporary campaigns and elections.

Thus, politics is studied as a science in universities all over the world in a subject termed as “political science” (Scammel, 1999, 265-266). While analyzing the field of politics in this manner, it is agreeable that politics is governed by a set of specific policies and rules that guide the election and campaign process. The process of counter-attacking opponents, gaining the support of voters, running rallies, giving speeches, and making promises is a process, which is common to all politicians and is a process that is embedded into the field of politics.

Aspects such as those mentioned above can be learnt in a fixed discipline as well as aspects such as analyzing opponents’ campaigns and giving public speeches. . Before fully assuming politics to be a science, the following factors should also be considered. While some politicians are doing the same things as other politicians and may have a lot more funding and a larger campaign than their opponents, they are still not gaining as much support and voters. In other instances, while all politicians have learnt and are aware that public speeches should emphasize upon the future economic and social benefits offered by the party for the benefit of the people, some public speeches are more effective than others.

While all politicians have learnt how to attempt to counter-attack another opponent’s allegations or campaign, some politicians are better at answering the public’s questions than others (Scammel, 1998, 730-732). It is highly acknowledgeable that despite the inclusion of all the tactics involved in politics, some politicians have a more attractive personality and more successful in gaining public support. This is due to their style, their likeability, people’s perception of their trustworthiness, and their ability to convince people of their capabilities.

It is also true that some politicians are much better at running campaigns and elections than others. Moreover, while there is a saying that “all is fair in love and war”, some people have gone ahead to add politics to the list and have said that “all is fair in love, war, and politics”. Thus, politics cannot only be described as a fixed discipline but is a complete race of creativity, skill, and determination of parties to compete and win the support of a maximum amount of voters and they are usually not restricted to only a set number of procedures to do this.

They are allowed to attempt to run their
