Given the fact that the people of Fredonia continue to suffer a lot in the hands of both aristocrats and foreigners I consider it worthwhile for them to pursue the will of liberalism in order to end their apathetic and disorganized existence. As such, it is advisable for the people of Fredonia to incorporate liberalism because it is the most active ideological weapon capable of ensuring unity among revolutionary organizations and parties (Marx and Engels 47). This entails that, liberalism fights for both communism and revolutionary hence it forces every single individual to become part of the weapon. This paper will seek to discuss liberalism and its critics with reference to a number of revolution authors such as Rousseau, Mao, and Keynes. Additionally, it will also discuss revolution, nationalism, and summarize the discussion by thinking about the idea of the authors from the required reading. Having discussed that liberalism puts forward the interests of fighters; critics claim that liberalism is also an ideological system of struggle that stands for things like unprincipled peace. As a result, critics maintain that liberalism brings about something called political degeneration in different individuals and units within a party and within revolution organizations. Additionally, Mao puts across that liberalism gives rise to or creates decadent. In terms of manifestation, liberalism manifests itself in a number of ways. For instance, liberalism lets things flow freely or slide in the name of friendship and peace despite the fact that a person has made a mistake (66). This happens mainly because this person might be an old subordinate, a fellow townsman, a loved one, or a close friend. Based on this revelation, Fredonians should pursue liberalism with caution as it might end up dividing the society into halves. Moreover, it is worthwhile for the people of Fredonia to refrain from liberalism as they have very little knowledge about it thus making it unwise to take up the weapon of liberalism against the foreigners and aristocrats. Citations maintain that the so-called “Patriots” have limited knowledge concerning liberalism. This shows that they do not have insights into this kind of action, which makes them unaware of damages that might befall them in case they happen to opt for liberalism. As depicted by Mao, liberalism involves indulgence into irresponsible criticism that takes place privately as opposed to voicing out suggestions and ideas as well as cause for action to the organization (79). Truthfully, advising Fredonians to refrain from liberalism is a pragmatic way of avoiding further oppression as it shows no regard for principles of collective living but follows individual inclination. For example, in ancient Rome, revolution resulted to slaves, knights, patricians, and plebeians. In order for “The Patriots” to kick out foreigners and aristocrats, it is advisable for them to revolutionize their nation despite criticism. This is because for them to attain reforms there must be a price. It would be advisable for the rebels of Fredonia to push for revolution against aristocrats and foreigners. This is because, despite the fact that revolution might end up splitting societies into small and simplified classes, it also opens up fresh grounds for development. Bearing in mind that the people of Fredonia suffer in the arms of internationals and aristocrats, spearheading revolution can hasten their rise into power. Agreeably, people of Fredonia lack adequate knowledge about revolution and its outcome. However, it is important to note that they also faster in learning. Consequently, upon explaining to them the meaning and outcomes of liberalism and revolution, it can only be a matter of time before taking back their power from the foreigners and aristocrats (102). Just as revolution opened up markets for the Chinese and East Indians and facilitated colonization of America as well as its subsequent increase in the modes of exchanging commodities, it can also awaken the people of Fredonia and help them gain their relevant positions in the society. Thus, this paper suggests that Fredonians must support revolution in order for them to attain freedom and reforms. Nationalism and conclusion The Patriots must bear in mind that struggle for ownership and competition brought nothing but extreme disharmony in various interests. In turn, every single individual and nation sought to get hold of a relative position. As a matter of course, these measures brought in injurious strategies that perturbed the absolute prosperity of many nations together with the surrounding neighbors. Nevertheless, Keynes shares his understanding of nationalism by pointing out that, even though sensible and serious bankers ensure people that there is no risk of inflation in America, people should be smart and see what these bankers mean when utter about the future (110). The ideas and thoughts generated by these authors give a theoretical example that suggest what the people of Fredonia should put into place in order to recapture their nation from the foreigners and aristocrats. Refraining from liberalism is inevitable due to its complexity while pushing for revolution is recommendable because it draws together reliable systems of economic recovery, political, and social endeavors in a society led by foreigners and aristocrats. Hence, this paper argues that every mission to freedom has casualties and suggests that “The Patriots” should take charge by starting a revolution against foreigners and aristocrats.
