History of the United s Presently, it is irrefutable the freedom and diverse privileges, which the US natives are enjoying emanated from the toil of the past freedom icons. This started with the testing of FDR leadership, which according to history; it is an essential landmark in all the American regimes, since it made a significant impact and saved the state from severe influence of the communist. Mainly, this was via economic stability where it faced the utter pangs of Great Depression coupled with civil war incidences, but he managed to make the America one entity. Hence, came with the term “United states” that has persisted to date, which gave its natives identity and faith in themselves. His leadership during the Great Depression besides having utter joblessness natives won the confidence of his subjects. This is because he instituted the policy of banks’ closure that persisted for 100 days to shun the incidences of people losing their homes and enterprises. Studies especially those of Zinn contend that the uprising of democratization the fuelling emanated from the diversity in societal strata (Zinn 10-22). This entailed unequal treatment of the blacks and other races that formed the oppressed society by the whites who were the elites. Primarily, this was after the arrival of the Columbus in the N. America prior the importation of servitude meant to work in the plantations and factories. Hence, resulting to human and dignity degradation that prompted the oppressed to seek their emancipation via unions instituted then to relief the people. Oppression entailed low wages and even enslavement especially by the Southerners where even after the declaration regarding servitude abolition some slaveholders were too reluctant to consent. Additionally, the severity of factory oppression, plantations and mines continued to the 20Th C, which was the great awakening of the masses (Zinn 123). They desired equal treatment like the white; claiming the relation amid them was more of deprivation than that of safeguarding human dignity. This was mostly in the last quarter of the 20Th era where its actions almost characterize the Zinn’s argument even to the current. Upon becoming the president, FDR ordered heavily taxing on the wealthy so that the state would relief the underprivileged by gaining their economic stability. This marked the true source of democracy besides other events triggered later by civil rights’ agitators, for illustration, Malcolm X. Steps to full democratization emerged with the Americans and other natives starting to believe in themselves where they sought all possible ways of their emancipation. This entailed mind emancipation prior resulting to the physical one, especially abolishing segregation that was evident amid the states. America prior the democratization era, it endured severe segregation where the Southerners compared to other citizens could not enjoy similar rights in public like their white counterparts. This yielded to severe and active retaliations by the segregated group, which entailed the use of diverse ways by the civil rights’ leaders. Southerners and numerous people who encountered segregation devised diverse rights’ movements meant to agitate for their privileges. According to Zinn were mainly farm workers who besides facing discrimination their wages were low, until civil activism came to their aid. This entailed even religious-based associations spearheaded by icons like Martin Luther King. His initial debut was during Montgomery Bus Boycott (1955) where the incidence lasted for 382 days. The incidence emanated from Rose Parker declining to offer a seat to a white man, which brewed uproar that culminated to her arrest. Learning of this, Martin organized nonviolent demonstration where the blacks declined utilizing the public transport, which yielded to immense funds loss especially to the buses’ owners. Since then, Martin continued to advocate for peaceful disobedience to the harsh laws that segregated Negros and offered the whites the privilege of having the first position in public. This implied that Blacks, for illustration, in public buses they were to assume the back seats while the Whites front ones, which was the reason that landed Rose Parker into the jail. Since she claimed, she was tired of segregation laws, which dehumanized the majority and granted few privileges to downgrade others. Civil rights movements’ leaders from then onwards started mobilizing people to agitate for their emancipation (Zinn 134). Each civil rights’ agitator had a diverse approach regarding the mode, which one thought to be the best, for illustration; Martin Luther preferred Mahatma Gandhi’s philosophy. This encompassed sensitizing natives regarding what they were encountering and could only be free via emancipation. Martin continued delivering numerous, powerful speeches among the Negros, for illustration, the famous “I have a dream” hence prompting them to come out in masses and disobey the then discrimination statutes. Conversely, the whites retaliated with imprisoning in Birmingham him together with fellow agitators who jointly and actively participated in numerous demonstrations. Eventually, his assailants assassinated him while on the balcony in a hotel. Apart from martin, other similar spirited and minded people carried on with the rights’ agitation. However, across all the activists the America had, their techniques differed but their core purpose was to attain the emancipation of the Blacks. For illustration, Malcolm X who believed that no man would ever grant another freedom and the only solution was to take it by force. Consequently, he advocated violence where possible, which contrasted with Martin’s where his philosophy entailed nonviolence means. This brought differences between this two leaders, but Malcolm due to Islam, kept his arguments and tactics clear where he stated that what they were after is one common facet, but different means used. Therefore, Martin ought not to complain, since what he may fail in attaining via peaceful means Malcolm will ensure that, it is violently attainable. Additionally, WW11 compared to other forces, its presence did not prompt the democratization as expected in the America. Studies contend that WW11 due to the America intended to defeat its enemies; in their armies, they did incorporate other natives especially from the South. Those who rejected faced assassinations especially the Muslims and some Mexicans who claimed that the killing was against their creeds. In the battlefield, they acted as one platoon unit and did not have the segregation, which were evident back in their lands. Since, they were in the forefront with one agenda; protect the sovereign of America, hence developing a brotherly affair. After the battle, this extended at American shores especially amid the fellow soldiers, but it did not persist for long where they started facing the former harsh discriminations. This emanated from the leaders and those other counterparts that were not in the war, since then Blacks could not then dare and roam in whites’ towns. Hence, prompted the Blacks especially the ageing war vetera5ns take serious action because they approve it, seeing their grandchildren and sons facing discrimination. Therefore, they yielded to applying the techniques they knew to claim their equitable place in American society, which yielded to democratization. Additionally, due to the WW11 grievous effects, it rendered numerous women, widows since their spouses perished while protecting the American supremacy. They demanded equal land share like the whites coupled with other benefits for the services their men offered while in battlefields. Therefore, brewing harsh confrontations anti the regime where later yielded to the acceptance of the gender equality. Primarily, this was in public where women contrary to the past they could express their complaints and in a male subjugated political arena. Owing to McCarthyism that existed during the Cold War, it yielded to populace agitating for democratization (Jacqueline et al 45). This emanated from numerous and unreasonable staff sacking that the state thought they were communist adherents. They encompassed regime’s staffs and the activists where the state could normally imprison them besides contacting meticulous investigations on them. Hence, denying them the necessary freedom, which they ought to have enjoyed especially of association and expression. This acted as one the force that yielded to democratization where its victims resulted mobilizing others and demanding their privileges. Conversely, this did not persist for long prior the truth emerged where America gained confidence in itself as being the superpower whereas the East was declining owing to numerous wrangles that existed in their midst. Conversely, contrary to the former state of augmenting democratization, presently America due to some issues has contributed to its decrease. For illustration, income disparities where according to studies, citizens who earn an average of $75,000, are more likely to indulge themselves in politics than those who earn an average of $15,000. Hence, pose an economic challenge to the citizens via granting the well up chance for the state to cater for their needs. This denies the underprivileged the essential necessities like healthcare since the state assumes that it is fully catering for its natives when they adhere to the majority grievances of the rich. Sometimes the vital issues pertaining to the those belonging to the common strata falls on deaf years of some few leaders who seems to be careless, thus worsening the situation. The emergence of independence; the state promised its natives equality in all life’s facets. This yielded to the citizens believing the ideals the state held firmly, but afterwards what they desired could not come to accomplishment (Jacqueline et al 100). This is because of both the political and economic disparities where only the privileged their voices were strong and possess immense commanding influence. Present studies contend that if there are not appropriate measures to involve the majority in the state’s affairs, the minority will continue to enjoy whereas the rest would suffer. This trend started in 1960s and 50s where rights revolutions were not acceptable and probably this could be the reason why the majority cannot pay for healthcare. Besides, the varied agencies that presently try to initiate democracy constitutes of institutions. These are foreign institutions found in America and try to safeguard populaces’ privileges, but seem to forget the majority. They encompass USIA and AID where attaining democracy funding from the regime it is hard, because they do not cater for the majority’s welfare. America has not instituted full laws that cater for democratization process owing to the early assurance it will cater for its natives as necessitated. Hence, paralyze any efforts that will make an effort of inquiring financing from the state’s financial kit. Work Cited Jacqueline A.
