?Client’s 3 February Barrack Obama is my favorite leader; he has done a lot for the US. Many would blame him for the recent recession which also affected the whole world but it was hardly his fault. George Bush’s war on terror resulted in mass slaughter but Obama was quick to understand that all that was wrong and absolutely needless, he also realized that war on terror was galvanizing others against the US. Guantanamo bay where several prisoners of war were held and tortured each day was shut by Obama, he is for humane treatment of fellow human beings and he is very different from George Bush who ran riot when he was the president of the US. Obama is a great orator and this is what separated him from the rest, he may not have kept all his promises but he can convince people very easily and this quality of his has endeared him to the people of the US. Obama has brought about significant changes since he took over as the president of the US, these changes have made the US so much better than what it earlier was as a country. People may point to the ever increasing unemployment rate but he is trying his best to keep it under perfect control, he is against outsourcing and it is good for the people of the US and it is also good for those who are unemployed. The following part of the paper will shed more light upon the changes that have taken place since Obama took over as the president of the US. “America is a place where all things are possible” this was how Barrack Obama started off at Grand Park in Chicago. He said if any American had any doubts about the above statement then he would clear all their doubts. This paper will throw light upon the speech delivered by Barack Obama at Grand Park in Chicago. The paper will also present the promises made by the President of the USA and some pros and cons which would present a clear picture of what the USA can expect from their new President. Obama gave focus on the power of democracy in his speech, the opening lines especially placed emphasis upon the democracy in the USA. He pointed that the people of America were not individuals but they are united and that’s what makes United States of America what it is. He assured the people that this election is going to bring a lot of positive changes in the country. He promised the people that he would renew the nations promise working with the other people in the office. He thanked his wife for standing by him and he thanked his daughters too and joked that the new puppy is coming to the White House along with them. He assured the people that the new government is of the people, by the people and for the people and he also congratulated them on their victory. He addressed the financial crisis which has affected almost all the major economies in the world and promised the people he would take suitable steps to counter the same. He promised the people that he is very hopeful and the journey of all the Americans is very long and steep but he believes that he will get there. He promised the people that he would listen to them and he would do so especially if they disagree with him. He asked the people what change would our children live to see and motivated the people to work towards the growth and development of the USA. He referred to a 106 year old black lady in his speech and said that there have positive changes taken place in the country. He referred to the period when there was slavery and the blacks were exploited but he said that everything has changed for better now, the 106 year old black lady was free to cast her vote and this is what bringing change means. He told the people that they have to build the USA block by block by their efforts and hard work. He reaffirmed to all the people that they have certainly made the right decision by choosing him and said that the development process of the USA is going to be a long and a tough one but he motivated the people to work hard to make the USA a better country. Barack Obama is an influential leader who is a now the President in the United States. He has promised to make many changes in the way how the US government functions. Some of the most significant changes promised by Obama include bringing in a system of labor rights, where there will be no exploitation of labors, equal pay; this included paying everyone equally without any discrimination. He has promised to turn around many areas to make sure that the economy of US does well and US develops as a country. He has promised to make changes in many sectors for instance he has promised changes in the immigration system, the Tax system currently followed by the US government etc. The efficient management of energy is very essential for any county to grow. Non renewable energy like gas, oil etc once wasted cannot be reused again, considering this it becomes extremely important to utilize energy in a best possible way. Obama has proposed a plan under which the oil consumption by the US will be reduced to 35% and he aims to achieve this by 2030. This is a very good decision in order to reduce the excessive dependency of the US on Oil. Another major step will be to “Help create five million new jobs by strategically investing $150 billion over the next ten years to catalyze private efforts to build a clean energy future.” (Barack Obama and Joe Biden). This is an excellent decision; the creation of new jobs will help a lot of Americans who are out of work. Within the next ten years Obama aims to save as much Oil as imported from countries like Venezuela and the countries in the Middle East. He aims at saving and wants to avoid misuse of energy where ever possible. He also aims at reducing the green house gas emission by 80% within the next 40 years Analysis of the Energy Policy “Obama makes a big deal about how he unveiled his new fuel efficiency standards for vehicles in Detroit in front of the car makers "and the room went really quiet". What he does not say is that Americans are going to need to make personal changes too, including moving to smaller cars, more public transport and a much bigger commitment to energy efficiency.” (Candidates are not coming clean on energy). Obama demands efficient use of energy and in doing so there must be good coordination from the people of America. The positive aspect here is that loads of energy will be saved and can be utilized to make the economy stronger but the negative aspect is that in doing so the people of America will have to switch to public transport in order to make sure that the energy is efficiently utilized in the country. “Obama's energy policy promises to tackle building codes and to mandate low-energy light bulbs throughout America by 2014, to save 88 billion kilowatt hours of electricity a year. But what he is not telling the people is that his plan for a carbon price to make renewable more competitive and to subsidize their development is going to see electricity costs rise sharply. The other part of the energy equation that is still a sleeper is nuclear power. Obama and McCain say they will allow new nuclear reactors to be built. In an attempt to save electricity the present rules on the consumption of electricity are going to be altered, the negative aspect here is that the prices of electricity will be increase and this will not be a welcomed change by the people of America. But the future prospects of the same are very bright as it will save a lot of electricity and help America to grow and prosper. Obama is certainly a very influential leader who believes in working together with the people and making the USA a better country. He assured the people that he will listen and solve most of the major problems, he also mentioned that solving all the problems in the USA was just not possible considering the same he promised the people to solve all the major problems in the country.
