Literature review pertaining to Adult Critical Care Nursing as well as program evaluation provides further insight into the two major subjects addressed by the proposal. The objective of the literature review is to enhance knowledge about the profession that is linked to the program as well as provide an overview of the concept of program evaluation. The aim and specific objectives of the evaluation are outlined that lead to the specific design that will be used in the evaluation. The design of the study includes the approach, the study population, the sampling methods, the sample size, the details of the participants, and the recruitment strategies of participants.

The proposal discusses in the methods section the procedures for data collection and the data analysis approaches that would ensure quality as well as outline the procedures used for data analysis. The program functions within the scope of the philosophy and policies of the Ministry of Health and His Majesty’s view and beliefs about the self-development of Omani people in the context of their socio-cultural background (ACCNP Student Handbook, 2009).
