Cows tend to release toxins along with their milk. Milk is considered to be an exit portal since it cannot be utilized. There are wide array of ingredients added to the milk which can adversely affect human beings. Veritable hormone cocktail is added to cow’s milk and this encompasses steroid, thyroid, pituitary and hypothalamic hormones. Cows are witnessed to remain in stress in most circumstances. Gastrointestinal peptides are also present within cow’s milk. These peptides are in the form of epidermal and nerve growth factors and other growth inhibitors like MAF and MDGI. White blood cells exist in cow’s milk that is being sold to people. There are about 1.5 million white blood cells commonly observed in per millilitre of cow’s milk. Recombinant Bovine Growth Hormone is used in order to enhance rate of milk production. This hormone is directly injected into cows. It is a genetically engineered hormone and has direct linkage with prostate, breast and colon cancer. At a national average, every glass of milk consists of pus and it accounts for 322 million cell count. It is not safe for humans to intake such high level of pus (Buttriss, 2008). This ultimately leads to Crohn’s disease. Infected udders generate this form of pus and it is known as mastitis. Antibiotics are an essential component found in blood and milk of cows. There are wide array of diseases that affect cows and hence they are treated with the help of antibiotics. Antibiotic medicines are constantly injected in cows. Chemically laden ointments are also used so as to protect cows from chronic diseases. Four most common antibiotic drugs are noticed in dairy cows. Sulfa drugs contaminate about 38% of cow’s milk, specifically in United States. There is a negative correlation observed within milk intake and bone mineral density. Interleukin 6 found in cow’s milk results into cardiovascular disease. This shall influence osteoporosis and bone loss. Higher degree of non-fermented milk consumption eventually leads to high blood pressure, high insulin resistance and lower high density level of lipoprotein cholesterol. The negative impact of cow’s milk is observed in the form of reduced ability of children to absorb iron. Subtle blood loss is also common in infants consuming cow’s milk. Coronary Heart Disease is another adverse impact caused by milk consumption. Cancer risk is prominent with consumption of cow’s milk. IGF-1 is present within cow’s milk and this is treated as a growth factor (Michaëlsson, 2014). However this element restricts growth and stimulates cancer cells in human body. Milk consumption facilitates death rate rather than reducing fragility fractures. The presence of wide range of antibiotics decreases nutritional content of raw cow’s milk. Food sensitivities to dairy and gluten Food sensitivities are observed in context of gluten and dairy. Allergies are at times not known by an individual. Health issues might result when such problem is not detected and there is continued consumption of dairy products. However food sensitivities are not similar to food allergies. When a person consumes any food product it might not lead immediately to any form of health disease. There could be reactions later such as joint pain, low energy, acne, weight loss, etc. Gluten sensitivity is observed across many regions. There are specific symptoms triggered by gluten like migraine, brain fog, bloating and fatigue. Initiated diseases Autoimmune diseases are also initiated by this kind of food sensitivity. These diseases might not be known to individuals and over consumption of dairy products would tend to disrupt the entire human body system. Often individuals do not undertake any allergy test unless it has been recommended by their physician. This makes them unaware about any serious health problems being caused by gluten or dairy products. Energy and gastrointestinal problems are caused by dairy products. Dairy based additives are also present in yoghurt which continues to cause negative impact on human body. These additives are whey snuck and casein, and are observed in foods like thickened soups, sauces, chip dip, canned chicken broth, etc. It is not possible to imagine life without dairy products and gluten. In daily life, dairy products occupy an integral part. Many people do not know about the adverse consequences resulting from dairy products (Landa, 2014). Bloating or headache is generally not treated as a food sensitivity associated with gluten and dairy product. Hence dairy products can change the way of living since such symptoms could not be easily determined. People having food allergies from milk products are not aware about this fact and it leads to drastic health issues. Sensitivity to Gluten Gluten is actually a protein composite that is found in different types of grains including wheat, spelt, barley and rye. The Gluten consists of two different proteins that are namely called the gliadin and glutenin. It is found that amongst these two components of gluten it is the gliadin part that has a negative impact on the people. It is found that upon reaching the digestive tract it is exposed to the cells of the immune system. The cells of the immune system commonly believe that they are coming from some foreign invader like bacteria. Amongst the people who are sensitive to the substance it is found that this causes the immune system to mount an attack against gluten. In some of the conditions especially in the case of the occurrence of the disease called celiac disease it so happens that the immune system attacks both gluten and the intestinal walls resulting in several severe conditions. Seeds as an alternative Benefits of seeds It is found that seeds are an important part in the life cycle of the plants and the reproductive strategies that are employed by the plants. Since the plants invest a good deal of resources in the seeds they are found to be an invaluable resource for the humans over the years. The seeds and nuts are found to posses valuable nutritional, pharmacological and medical features which greatly contribute to wellbeing and health of human being. It is found that the seeds have been used traditionally for the purpose of different medicinal usage since long time. It is found that the seeds contain several general ingredients like carbohydrates, proteins, fixed oils etc. The seeds also contain certain plant metabolites which are mainly responsible for wide ranging medicinal activities. Certain environmental and pre and post harvesting factors can have an influence over the medicinal properties of the seeds. Seeds are also used as a source for several fixed oils that are used for medical purposes. The seeds can also used as herbal drugs either in their raw form or in the form of preparations that can be used for several therapeutic indications to be used as medicinally active products in different contemporary medicines (Preedy, Watson and Patel, 2011). Benefits of nuts One of the important areas in which the nuts can be used as a medicine is the field of cardiovascular diseases. Coronary heart diseases are found as one of the leading causes behind mortality and morbidity especially in the developed countries around the world. Modifications in diet and lifestyle are found to have an important impact on the improvements in the outcomes of the cardio vascular conditions (Preedy, Watson and Patel, 2011). Nuts have been found to be quite effective in this regard due to the fact that the nuts contains high amount of monounsaturated and poly unsaturated fatty acids. In addition to these it is found that the nuts contain several other compounds that are bioactive like several antioxidants. It has been shown in several random clinical trials that the nuts due to these components that are present in them help in improving cardiovascular cases (Ros and Hu, 2013). Seeds of Brassicacea The seeds of Brassicacea which including a large variety of species are widely used in the diet of human beings and are found to be highly valuable from the point of view of nutrition. It is found that these species are extremely rich in Phenolics. It is found that the components like the Flavonoids and the Phenolic acids are found to exert antioxidant activity. This can help in explaining some of the health promoting activities of these crops. The seeds are particularly helpful in treating some of the conditions relating to inflammation and cancer. The beneficial effects of many of these seeds results from the fact that they contain antioxidants that helps in the protection against a number of diseases that ranges from arthrosclerosis to cancer. Cause of the rise of diary related symptoms Reasons behind milk being bad for health Due to the fact that the milk of the cows goes through extreme processes and the high amount of hormones, antibiotics, genetically modified substances and drugs that the cows are exposed to it is found that there is an increasing concern about the health risk that is associated with drinking the milk of cow. To start with there are several substances that are added to the cow’s milk. Firstly, to start with the milk of the cow contains a cocktail of different hormones. It is also found that there are certain gastrointestinal peptides that are present in the milk of the cow. There is also another hormone called the Recombinant Bovine Growth hormone that is injected into the cows in order to increase the production of the cow’s milk. This hormone is directly linked with cancers of breast, colon and prostate. Another important component that is found in the milk of cows is pus that results from the bacterial infection of the udders of the cow in a disease called the mastitis. There are also blood cells that are present in the milk of the cow. The pus that is present in the milk is quite bad for the health of humans and it is present in quite a large quantity. There are several antibiotic treatments and treatments with ointment oils that are received by the cows and theses medicines also become part of the milk of the cow. It is important to note that with the improvement in technologies and due to technological advantages there in an increasing use of pesticides and fertilizers that are used increasing the production of food grains. These food grains are used as foods for the cows and these results in the fact that the negative effects of these chemicals are reflected in the milk of the cow. Report of United Nations regarding the issue The United Nations says in a report that the world population is expected to reach a level of 9.1 billion. It is found that the western tastes for milk and meat is unsustainable. It is found that the impacts from agriculture in expected to increase substantially due to the fact that population growth increases the consumption of the products that are derived from animals. According to report by United Nations It is found that the damages that are caused by animal products are more substantial than the damages that are caused by the process of producing construction materials like sand, cement, metals or plastic. The biomass and the crops for the animals are found to be damaging to the same level as the burning of the fossil fuels. Mortality rates associated with the milk of cow Mortality rates associated with drinking milk Over a course of 20.1 years it was found that 15541 women died and that 17252 women had fracture. It was also found that amongst those who had fracture there were 4259 women who had fracture in their hips. It was also found that amongst the male who were studied for a period of 11.2 years, it was found that 10,112 men died and there were 5066 had a fracture. It was also found that amongst those who had a fracture there were 1116 cases on which the male had a hip fracture. It was found that in the women who drank three or more glasses of milk per day compared with those who drank less than one glass of milk per day was 1.93 (Ros, 2015). For every extra glass of milk that is drunk it was found that the increase in all case mortality rates was 1.15 in women and 1.03 in men. It was found that higher amount of milk intake was associated with higher rates of mortality and is associated with increasing higher incidence of fracture in women. Proposed advantages of drinking milk A diet that is rich in milk and the products that are derived from milk are promoted in order to reduce the likelihood that there will occurrence of fractures related to Osteoporosis. There are 18 essential nutrients that are found in the milk and include Phosphorous, calcium, vitamin D that are found to be essential especially for the skeleton. It is normally suggested that person who drinks 3 or 4 glasses of milk per day saves at least 20% of the costs related to health care. Undesirable effect of drinking milk It is found from the research that there are some undesirable effects that might be caused by the intake of milk. This is due to the fact that milk is the primary source of D-galactose. It is found through experiments that have been conducted on species of animals the addition of D-galactose is found to have severe damaging impact on the health. It is found that even if small amount of D-galactose is injected in the animals that the changes that are induced resemble the natural effects of aging. This is caused by the fact that D-galactose results in shortened life span due to the fact it causes oxidative damages caused by stress, chronic cases of inflammation, decreased response of the immune system and genetic damages (Jenab, 2006). Increase of the Oxidative stress with aging or the fact that is related to persistent low grade inflation is what is related to cancer and incidence of cardio vascular diseases in humans. Not only that, it is also related to bone loss that is associated with aging and sarcopenia. The fact that there is high amount of D-galactose and lactose that is present in the milk means that it should be consumed by people with the notion that it helps in the prevention of cancer. Switch from Cow’s milk to milk from nuts for 40 years or older Disadvantage of cow’s milk There is a very common myth that is associated with milk. The myth is that the milk is good for the bones of the people. It is commonly believed that since milk contains calcium it is good for the bones of people. However, truth is further from these beliefs. Recent studies have found that the drinking of milk is associated with a list of effects on the health of the people that are actually detrimental. Studies suggest that people are barely able to absorb the calcium that is present in the milk. In fact it is found that drinking of milk is associated with increasing loss of calcium from the bones. This is due to the fact that upon drinking of the milk pH of the body turns acidic. This leads to the fact that a process of biological correction is triggered. It is found that the good neutralizer of the acidity is the calcium. So, when the pH of the body is rendered acidic due to drinking of milk what happens is that the body starts pulling the calcium out of the bones in order to neutralize the acid. Once the calcium is used to neutralize the acidic levels it is flushed out through urine. So the ultimate effect that drinking of milk has is to deplete the calcium from the body. The milk of the cow is custom made for the consumption by the calves. It is found that on an average the milk of the cow contains on an average thrice the amount of protein that is found in human milk. This leads to the fact that there are metabolic disturbances that are created by the consumption of the milk of cows. It is found that as compared to the infants the milk of the cow is more detrimental for the adults. This is due to the fact that that the incidence of diseases related to the bones or the incidence of cardio vascular diseases increases as the age of the individual increases. Benefits of seeds milk On the contrary to the bad effects that are found in the milk of the cows, it is seen that there is a good body of evidence which indicates the fact increase in consumption of the seeds is related to reduction in occurrence of type II diabetes and incidence of the occurring of cardio vascular diseases (Food today, 2015). It is also found that if nuts are consumed as part of regular diet then the incidence of major cardio vascular complications is reduced to a great extent (Estruch, 2013). It is also found that women who were founds to consume nuts in the highest quantities had far lower risks of the occurrence of colorectal cancer (Jenab, 2004). Conclusion It was a commonly held belief that the milk of the cow is an extremely important dietary supplement. It is believed that milk provides the necessary source of calcium that is important to prevent the occurrence of fractures. However, recent studies in this field have found that contrary to the commonly held belief, the calcium that is present in the milk cannot be absorbed by the body of the people. On the contrary consumption of milk actually depletes the calcium level of the bones. It is also found that milk contains several other ingredients like D-galactose that causes bone fragility, may cause incidence of cancer amongst other effects. It is also found there are certain things that are present in the milk like the hormones, puss, white blood cells that is very bad for the human health. On the contrary it is found that nut’s milk can be used as an important dietary supplement and can be used as an alternative to milk. It is found that nuts are an important source of certain anti oxidants which is actually helpful in the prevention of the diseases. It is also found that nuts contain unsaturated fatty acids that help in the prevention of cardiovascular diseases. Thus it is found that the intake of nut and the milk of nuts are far more beneficial for health as compared to cow milk. References Buttriss, J., 2008.
