The Correlation between Electromagnetic Radiations and Cancer - Case Study Example

Summary
The author examines the correlation of the reasons behind Jacobs’s cancer which may be due to his surrounding and body immune. One of the surrounding causal impacts for such attributes is radioactivity. The radioactivity from the phone tower affects the environment around.  …

Extract of sample "The Correlation between Electromagnetic Radiations and Cancer"

The correlation between two objects indicates the causal effect between one-variable and its subsequent variable. For instance, there is correlations and causal speculation that smoking results in the lung tumor. It is not about a particular smoker but rather a unique relationship exists between the property of smoking and of getting a lung disease (Aldrich, 23). As a causal articulation, this shows that there is more relationship between the two properties. However, in our case, it is untrue to say that electromagnetic radiations from Jacobs home environ are the actual cause of his cancer.

This is because a lot of tumors arise abruptly. Above reasons may have resulted in Jacobs’s cancer. Though in the past, there have been concerns that exposure to radioactivity affects both body tissues and the brain. There has been no confirmation. The results of such studies do not give clear proof of the relationship between radiation and cancer. Nonetheless, there have been some noteworthy discoveries in particular subgroups of individuals.
