The funds will be used to develop an advanced genetic sequencing technology (Burton, 1). 70 million dollars, will be used by the national cancer institute, to develop a genome marker that will help in much more precise cancer treatment. A further 5 million dollars will be allocated to health record information management that will ensure that the data collected is stored safely and accessible to researchers.

The physicians will also have access to the information to aid them in the management of patients. This initiative will go long way in reducing the cost patients incur while undergoing treatment when empirical treatment is used. This too will prevent the patients from having to take a number of medication therapies that are not helpful to their conditions. I agree with the policy and the article since it will be of much help to the patients and the physicians as a whole. It will provide a guideline on the modality of treatment hence saving time used to figure out the best method of treatment for a particular ailment.
