The treatment team is made up of a psychiatrist, a dietician, a nurse, psychologists, and master-level counselors who cooperate in providing medication management, education, life skills, problem-solving groups, private counseling sessions, and other treatment interventions as required.

Outpatient Counseling Since 1987 the clinic has been providing outpatient counseling in Wheaton and has satellite facilities in Northbrook, Geneva, and Chicago. Breakaway After-school Program for TeensAdolescence can be a very challenging and confusing stage of life. The facility understands the many challenges and issues teenagers face which also affect parents and other family members. This rigorous outpatient program targets teenagers between 14-18 years who need a defined, safe setting to navigate through issues that are causing confusion, fear, and conflict in their lives. The program is conducted at the Wheaton clinic and runs for 4 weeks, Monday- Thursday, from 4.00 p.m. to 7.00 p.m. Participants receive group and individual therapy together with medication management/assessment, while parents benefit from weekly educational support.

An aftercare group is also available for 1 hour, 1 day a week for graduates of the program to keep on building on the lessons acquired. Involvement in this program helps teenagers in establishing a strong foundation upon which to start cultivating a healthier, happier, and well-balanced life now and in the future (Medicine Inc. 33).
