However, there is no change to the coverage offered for crucial life-saving and emergency drugs. This is in addition to the coverage of prescription drugs or other non-medication items that are sold over the counter, such as crutches. In addition, cover for drugs that the patient has a prescription for is sustained, as well as for drugs that may be obtained without one.

This reform is crucial to the industry in that it saves heavily on the finances of both patients and the healthcare coverage provider. To comply with the reforms an administrator may employ a policy that ensures patients secure prescriptions before purchasing drugs to make the reimbursement process efficient. Through this method, patients can easily get value for their money while not compromising on effective drug and medication coverage from providers.

In addition, an administrator may save the finances of both the institution and healthcare provider by directing medical care providers to keep drug use at a minimum. This saves finances and improves the health of patients by ensuring that they are not dependent on medication for good health, this works towards cutting costs as intended by the reform.

In conclusion, the ongoing healthcare reforms are crucial, with over-the-counter reimbursement being the most significant. However, through taking the above measures, it will ensure compliance and full implementation of the reform in the health sector.
