Comparison of models paper Task A summary of each model of addiction Psychological model The psychological model highlights mental complications that compromise the stability of the mind. Psychological complications are becoming prevalent; thus, posing threats to an individual’s health. As noted, biological and social factors contribute to mental disorders that limit a person’s capacity to make reasonable decisions. Individual’s experiences in diverse settings also contribute to this disorder.

It is recommended that individuals should adopt conventional health practices and biological check ups to enhance their status. This eradicates the disorder since it compromises an individual’s capacity to perform exemplary. According to researchers, a psychological model like etiology is becoming common regardless of the fact that it increases mental complications among individuals. As such, a need arises to provide superior health care and preventive services like psychological therapies to ensure the development a healthy nation (Harvi, 2005).

The complications of the model demand effective adherence to nursing care policies and adoption of relevant precautionary measures. Medical practitioners asserts that clear methods of ensuring absolute eradication of the disorder among individuals is based on integration of quality medical systems that ensure provision of the psychological therapies. Therefore, Individuals should be acquainted with the causes of the complication and its mitigation measures to avert losses.Biological modelThe biological model highlights mental disorders that influence an individual’s response behavior and perception on diverse issues.

The model affects the brain capacity by destroying vital cells just like psychosocial model; however, the effects differ. This means that psychological complications affect an individual’s etiological system and conceptualization while biological model delimits the response capacity. According to researchers, the complications of biological model pose severe response challenges to individuals; thus, hampering their cognitive thinking. Response to diverse elements in the society is critical in ensuring rational execution of activities.

Research that refutes the models based on their detrimental nature Psychological model Harvi (2005) who is a renowned researcher and health expert gives credible information on the effects of the psychological model disorders since it leads mental complications. The disorders influence an individual’s ability to perform exemplarily since it destroys mental cells that help in conceptualization. He asserts that mitigation measures should be adopted since the prevalence of the disorder is increasing.

This restores an individual’s mental capacity with an aim of improving their health status; thus, leading to excellent productivity (Harvi, 2005). As noted, there are effective intervention measures that avert the severe nature of the disorder. The measures include provision of psychological therapeutic services to the victims, facilitation of sensitization programs and provision of medical assistance. The author also asserts that the victims have a responsibility to exhibit practices that may not compromise their life.

Indeed, dysfunction in the individual’s psychological process contributes in the development of mental disorder. The dysfunctions are seen in cognitive processes that limit the functionality of the brain; hence, individuals should take appropriate precautionary measures to quell its effects. Roxin (2011) discusses the effects of the biological model and its relationship with psychological complications. Comparatively, the disorders compromises brain functionality since biological complications leads to poor responses.

It also causes inferior perception on diverse issues and development of accurate decisions. The disorder requires timely intervention measures to avert is detrimental nature. The author states that individuals with the disorder display inconsistent behavior. Their response to stimuli, which is coordinated by the brain, is poor. This delimits their capacity to conceptualize effectively on diverse environmental issues. Roxin, (2011), also argues that simple biological complications, for example, reductionists are not scientifically justifiable.

Further, he states that the specific role of the psychological process should be clarified to provide credible information based on the biopsychological model. The models pose complications to human mental functionality. ReferencesHarvi, R. (2005). A psychological model of mental disorderRetrieved fromhttp://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/16126607Roxin, A.
