We know the process of implanting Denture is very common nowadays. Eve ry dental patients preferring to implant denture desires their artificial teeth to be natural and so comfortable. This can be performed successfully by the associate venture of Dental care specialist and dental technician. Hence, both the dentist and the dental technician must aware about the features of perfect dentures commonly implanting. A perfect denture must be highly flexible in nature, so that they can provide a better function to the user. They must be highly plaque resistant in nature. Perfect Denture will never show the tendency of incompatibility either with the oral cavity or gums. It must be very light in weight, so that the user can enjoy more comfortable feeling. During the manufacturing process of denture, too much care is essential to avoid the incorporation of materials which absorb water or saliva, because such denture will create too much uneasiness to the user. This quality will also reduce the durability of the product. Heat resisting capacity and very low heat conductivity are the prominent qualities needed for the perfect denture to be implanted in human beings. All these tips are very important as far as dentists and dental technicians are concerned. By applying these tips properly both of them can provide a satisfactory treatment to the concerned dental patients. Two types of removable partial dentures are in use viz. temporary partial denture and definite partial denture. The former is designed only for the short term usage and the latter for the long term usage. Both of them are specially designed to accommodate different situations. As we know, in respect to applications they can be categorized in to two varieties. One is tooth supported removable partial denture and the other is tooth tissue supported partial denture. The latter is also termed as the distal extension removable partial denture. Here the two ends of the removable partial denture are supported by the existing natural teeth whereas the tooth tissue supported (distal extension) removable partial denture are supported by the tissues of the neighboring natural teeth. The diagrams shown below are useful to provide necessary basement with respect to the removable partial denture. The design and components using for the manufacture of these dentures are with an intention to remove them often for cleaning and maintenance. The removable partial denture can be attached to the basement in different ways according to the convenience of the user. Metal clamps attached with removable partial denture can be used to fix them to the existing natural teeth in the oral cavity. Implant supported denture The Diagrams shown above provide some awareness regarding the removable partial denture with various types of clamps which are meant to fix with the existing teeth and gums. During the manufacturing process of denture care must be taken to satisfy all the above mentioned qualities needed for the perfect artificial teeth. The basement of the product should be prepared in such a way to accommodate the same independently in between natural teeth. They can be prepared by premium acrylic base having shrink free quality. There are also implant supported dentures to provide security against loosening or slipping. The design and fixing devices of denture should be perfectly coping up with the physical conditions prevailing in the gums as well as in the oral cavity. Usually the denture has a pink colored plastic base connected with metallic frames so that, it can be fixed perfectly in the oral cavity. The process of designing and making denture will take duration of two to three weeks depending upon the type needed. A lot of adjustments, measurements and examinations with respect to oral cavity and gums are needed before starting the preparation for designing the partial removable teeth. In certain cases doctors cannot avoid minor oral surgery in order to incorporate the denture set in to the oral cavity. Usually the dentists are first advised to try with waxy models of the denture to be prepared. The dentist can discuss the matter with the user as well as dental technician at this juncture to bring a better outcome. This discussion can enable the dentist to make necessary adjustments if needed, to provide comfortable implantation of teeth in the oral cavity. The user can also help the technician by giving some clues with respect to the color and shape of the removable denture to be prepared. All dentists know that for the first few days the new denture often creates some uneasiness to the user. The dentist can provide suitable advices to the user regarding the implanted denture and the hygiene conditions to be maintained thereafter. . The wear and tear from the usage will affect the denture inversely. Over usage of the denture will make it loose to the gums. Sometimes this may be due to the process of shrinking of the gums. This problem can be tackled to some extend by delaying the implantation of the denture until the concerned portion of the gum completes shrinking after the extraction of the natural teeth. The variations in the process of biting also cause the denture to get loosened in a long term use. In such cases the dental care specialists must warn the user against wounds to be developed by the loosened denture. The user can either request for some modifications from the dental technicians or demand for a new removable denture. These loosening problems are common and can be corrected by the technicians in most cases or they can advice the user to suggest for the implant supported denture (please see the diagram above) to overcome the loosening problem. Both the dentists and technicians must have very good knowledge regarding the different types of denture commonly employing for the purpose of implantation in the oral cavity. This will enable them to clear the doubts of the patients regarding the artificial teeth and its implantation process. The advice from the dentist is helpful to provide confidence among the users to a great deal. The dentures are really a boon to mankind since they look so natural after the implantation. The dental care specialists and dental technicians must provide the user all possible tips to maintain them properly. But the availability of perfect denture depends on the coordinate process and technical skill of dental surgeon and dental technician. References 1.
