Personal ment Getting a PhD has always been my dream, and for a person hailing from Saudi Arabia, it is not that easy to accomplish this dream.I believe our changing lifestyle is responsible for all the diseases and health issues, especially kidney problems. Ever since I did my B Sc in Laboratory Medicine, my yearning to learn and explore the field of physiology has grown stronger. I always intended to study and research more on clinical physiology, especially in renal physiology. During my B Sc, I learnt a lot about various health issues of the present day and how they can be detected and treated through various tests.

This prompted me to pursue a master’s degree in Physiology from the University at Buffalo. The project that I handled during my graduation was “Expression of Subunits of an Epithelial Na Channel,” which is present in the kidneys. The over-expression of one of these subunits predisposes individuals to hypertension, using a real time PCR machine. The research on my project gave me lot of exposure and encouraged me to learn more about physiology, which I believe can help me to do something for the people of my country.

Presently, I am working as a TA at the Umm Al-Qura University, where I can learn much and expand my knowledge. The daily interaction with students and teachers helps me to acquire basic sense and knowledge of key topics. It has also enhanced my interest in instructional and teaching responsibilities. After acquiring a PhD from your reputed Institution, I would like to work as an Assistant Professor at my University. I believe that my knowledge and abilities will help me to excel in the respective fields, which will help me to build a strong career.

I have always felt a hunger to learn and explore, which I think I can accomplish by acquiring a PhD in Clinical Physiology, with research in Renal Physiology, which is a vast and interesting subject to learn about. Learning has always been a great experience for me, and during my graduation I remained an active participant in all the research and seminar activities of the College. I have interacted extensively with the faculty and students of my college. This has enabled me to procure the values and responsibilities required for a professional.

I believe that through education, we can bring more professionals into Renal Physiology, who can transform present-day ideas and concepts. Being a fast learner, I have the ability to analyze and evaluate things quickly in a fast and intellectual manner. With a PhD, I can get myself involved in research work. This will give me an opportunity to shape my career and acquire what I have dreamt for my life. Since I am from Saudi Arabia, it was not an easy task to get into desired field, but I have learnt to struggle and come out as a winner.

It requires a tremendous amount of sense and knowledge to do research studies in Clinical Physiology. The types of diseases, symptoms and causes have fuelled my ambition to learn and study more. While doing my B Sc, I worked on many intricate topics, which enhanced my learning techniques and eventually took my confidence to higher levels. A PhD will enable me to acquire the necessary degree of professionalism to work with the best Professors in my country. I have been academically strong and have consistently performed well in all my research projects.

My mission is to work in a challenging environment and to guide aspiring students of my country with my research techniques. My experience in various research programs has helped me build the strong communication skills required for a teaching profession. My interest in physiology has pushed my desire to do something particular. Through various interactive sessions in my College, I learnt that getting a higher degree in Renal Physiology is the best way to apply my learning methodologies in teaching.

I would like to be a part of your Institution, where appropriate exposure is given to the candidates in their respective fields. I will be happy if I am able to provide a helping hand to the students of my community who aspire to be medical professionals. Success is a key definition for strong career, and taking up a higher level course with specialization in Renal Physiology will definitely be an advantage for shaping my career in the manner I desire. My family are in support of my decision of pursuing a PhD from your Institution.
