?Children Medical Center Introduction Children Medical Center philosophy is the scientific study of ethics, processes and children; constituting health maintenance and healthcare system set up solely for the provision of comprehensive health services to children from the time of their birth to a time when they reach age 18 years and above. As included in the operations’ strategy, care provision will inculcate medical care options ranging from neonatal critical care, through to sports medication, and also from any trauma to eating disorders. For effective implementation of the Children Medical Center mission and vision statements, this philosophy of children Medical Center has strategized on making life best for children by toiling to educate its officials, parents and the general public on issues of healthcare, education, safety, and security of the children’s population. Vision Statements Our vision, as Children Medical Center, is to ensure healthy Children up bringing into the 21st century through innovations, commitments and modern technology use in the education, prevention and treatment of diseases that may deter healthy growth of the Children population growth. Mission Statement At Children Medical Center, we appreciate and recognize human value and are up to committed medical services’ excellence and leadership. These are demonstrated by our provision of: consummate emotional, physical and spiritual care and guidance for all (in and out patients) and their families; demonstrative social responsibility through justified use of available resources; a fostered and healthy culture of researching, experimenting, discovering and using the relevantly acquired skills and knowledge in all our partaking and giving support to the Children as necessary; balanced and continued dedication to care for all (high class, middle class and the poor/ needy) by providing highly specialized services; and constructing good working environment where each and every individual is valued, appreciated, respected and given for personal and professional growth through advancing high excellence in personal and health services education. Alignment of our marketing mix with the mission and vision The central idea of marketing mix involves exchange of medical services for other valuable between the provider and the purchaser, as agreed. Getting to know what a client needs, wants and desires and delivering that service better than the competitors is hence the goal of marketing, (Rakich, Longest and Darr, 2000). This particular type of alignment begins with strategic planning processes, which aid on decision making on what to market and how to do it (Redling, 2007). Children Medical Center operates within the mandate of helping the surrounding Children population to become a healthy population that would become highly productive and at the same time lowering the overall costs through the use of innovative and productive programs and strategies. The core business of this institution therefore is based on the facts that: i. Healthy employees and the general Children population are considerably more productive as compared to chronically ill population. ii. Lives are saved and little costs are inquired when such facility is within a close range. iii. Additionally, low amounts will be paid to prevent diseases or illnesses than to treat after occurrence. At Children Medical Center productivity is ensured through health care practices. It is our belief that the initial traditional health approaches to the current Children health care crisis are misdirected. Ours modern approaches is proactive. Therefore, it will emphasize on preventive and good health promotion and education on the ways in which the current and future children generations are kept up to healthy standards. STREANGTHS WEAKNESSES High Organizational recognition by the environment population for which it is established Limited similar institutions under private ownership that can be used to reach other geographical regions and to intensify services provisions. Broad service portfolio though within a specified demographic population (children). Poorly placed in terms of geographical coverage. Children exist everywhere and therefore, such facility should be accessible to all. OPPORTUNITIES THREATS Ever changing demographics Promoting Governmental regulations on the exercise Rising healthcare expenditures due to continued need of health services and professionals. Resulting death of the inadequate healthcare professionals Alignment of our product and strategy with the mission and vision Services at our institution are aimed at achieving the mandates laid out in our mission and vision statements. To make this (demonstrative social responsibility through justified use of available resources) successful, a number of key approaches have been coupled into the system to help appraise the Children health conditions. They include: Lifestyle/ behavioral approaches: Our lifestyle/ behavioral approaches of study, in relation to the targeted Children, are geared towards individuals or groups whose behavioral characteristics places them at higher risks of unhealthy lifestyles, relations and living habits. The strategy for this is to target smaller but at-risk groups within the Children to alter their unhealthy health behaviors. Alternatively, individual lifestyle approaches to health education and promotion issues are dependable on the principles that major causes of diseases are results from poor lifestyle behavior choices. Public health approach which we use to provide maximum benefits to the general Children population. Under this approach, we are determined to prevent diseases (i.e. communicable diseases), promoting health awareness issues, and providing health care to the general human population and Children on natural and man-made hindering disasters. All the above strategies are majorly applicable in the developing countries where these epidemics are mostly experienced by the WHO (World Health Organization) to offer training in essential newborn care; tentatively, we in line with JHPIEGO and WHO also train on basic essential obstetric care; and lastly other countries’ pediatrics scientific groups to offer training in neonatal resuscitation skills. Alignment of our placement with the mission and vision The state of our current targeted population health care crisis, coupled with the demographic changes, menaces to further erode human productivity as well as exacerbate the crisis. Alignment of our promotion strategy with the mission and vision Organization’s positioning strategy is part of organization’s market positioning. Market positioning defines how well this organization fits into the surrounding for which it is meant (an environment where children live). So as to be competitive enough, the organization’s services are set as streamlined with other services provided elsewhere, though with added advantages of more value and less costs of the services offered. Children Medical Center is particularized in the services offered and the targeted population, as the name suggests. This is with a view to provide dedicated and comprehensive services without diversion of interest or specialties. A trial to provide all medical services to all categories of individuals in a single institution has been proved impossible and ineffective. This argument is based on the consequential biasness on certain areas of the varied sections of service delivery. The Children population forms our customer base since it has common personal denominators, and the organization operates on their loyalty, right and need to be kept healthy for better future generations. Promotional measures directed towards balanced and continued dedication to care for all (high class, middle class and the poor/ needy) by providing highly specialized services resultantly lead to health promotion strategies. The three types of strategies implemented under this section are: i. Advocating for the creation of essential health conditions within the Children. ii. Enabling conditions that are bound to support the already and yet to be implemented health resolutions and, iii. Creating locality which is supportive towards steps urged by medical experts on health education and tender care that should be provided for the child population. iv. As guided by the Ottawa Charter for Health Promotion and also included in our mission statement, our Children health care plan will work within the framework of health promotion implementation including: Creating supportive environments Developing individual/ communal skills Strengthening actions by the community towards healthy living habits of the children. Coming up with healthy communal policy. Reorientation of health services. Alignment of our price strategy with its mission and vision Depending on the initial establishment policies of the organization as to profit making or non-profit making, prices will vary. Under this three types of alignments will be considered: Vertical Alignment: our goals and objectives are driven by the set strategies. Vertical alignment of the strategy will ensure relation of strategies influencing mission, vision and values of the organization. Operational alignment: this will ensure actual performance of the tasks. i. Under low-price strategy, consequent decrease in the quality is most likely to occur to maintain the standards of providing services at that low rate as compared to other competitors. ii. While for high-price strategy, the idea created may only be a perceived service or item value. Conclusions In a nut shell, it is worth noting that there are no simple solutions that can help in ensuring effective services delivery in quality healthcare services. No particularly identified intervention is a proved medically to be suitable for all sorts of problems and other interventions that have little to moderate or variable effects on the targeted child population. Training approaches and programs on essential health care issues organized as intensive workshops, using simulation models, dummies and drill, should be considered as potentially necessary in reducing maternal and both infant mortality and morbidity.
