In what five ways have U.S. public health functions changed over time? Be specific in presenting your list and provide examples. Heightened expectations and questions have been raised by the recent emphasis about the extent to which U.S. public health classifications have changed in the recent years which include workforce changes, technological development, and evolved structures of organizations. The US public health sector has revolutionized by using quantitative analytic techniques of studying diseases and scientific nitty-gritty of public health based on the population, specifically in the 20th century this technique has obtained better quantitative capacity.

It can be well understood by Turnock’s idea of prearranged and methodical interpretations through morbidity and mortality watch and well-defined epidemiologic crams being responsible for a successful public health sector of the US and the decision making procedure. To avoid blowing up public health management the US public health sector started conducting periodic standardized health surveys. These surveys were conducted to focus on persistent diseases in order to estimate the disease pervasiveness, major causes of death, to measure the weight of contagious diseases, to assess exposure to environmental toxicants, and to calculate vaccination coverage.

Public health training has been continuously provided to the health sector organizations which have brought a colossal change in prevention. Another important step by the US health sector is the establishment of county health departments, for example a county cleanliness operation successfully controlled a typhoid epidemic in Yakima County, Washington, between 1910 and 1911. Hence, a positive impact on public health has been casted by these changes and it has raised challenges in the areas of leadership, governance, quality, and accountability.
