  1. About Ulun Danu Batur

Ulun Danu Batur (a.k.a. Pura Ulun Danu Batur) was built in 1926 and is the second most important temple of Bali, which is dedicated to Dewi Danu. The temple comprises nine different worship areas and contains around 285 different shrines and pavilions. The temple is donated to the goddesses of water, holy springs, and agriculture among other spiritual symbols of Bali.

  1. About Dewi Danu

In the Balinese Hindus religion, Dewi Danu is referred to as the water goddess. She is one of the two ultimate deities of the Bali tradition who commands Balinese lakes, which are an important source of water and sustenance (Bali Safari and Marine Park, n.d.).
