I have always wanted to change the gender inequalities that are in my workplace. A good example is my workplace’s perception that women still need to be submissive and timid. Many of the women, therefore, refrain from making contributions in meetings for fear of judgment. To make these changes, a lot of gender sensitization needs to be done, so that men can start appreciating women as equal partners to them. As a worker, I have opted to always take a firm stand especially when it comes to women's issues. I always remind my fellow employees that women are also equal to them and that they can make considerable contributions to society when given an opportunity. This has helped improve my work conditions though not much improvement. Read More
