There are tough challenges that the immigrants face, which have existed for centuries and still does not show any prospects of fading away. As human we are not in the position of standing them alone; hence, the need to depend on others either as individuals or as groups. Therefore, in as much as the immigrants need the Americans, the opposite is also true as the Americans also have so much to benefit from the immigrants. This is because the human race has trait like the highly ultra-social, mutually dependent form of group living.

Therefore, prosperity, good living and two-way relation would only exist if two groups treat one another well as human beings and not as animals (Eberhardt and Susan 403-5). The Americans have not though treated their immigrants well due to the prejudice they have for them, as they view the immigrants as criminals as opposed to viewing them with the human aspect. The Americans view the immigrants as threats, people who are only out to take their resources, cheat them in exchanges while violating their norms and values, as such the policies towards immigrants and the immigration systems in the US are also quite biased (Esses et al 401-6).

This should never be the case, as no country in the contemporary world should have an immigration system that ignores the factual basics. The Americans have quite strong feelings against the so considered aliens to an extent that they would not stand see anyone of them want to be or appear good to the aliens. This kind of rage does not have any formal basis and it is sad to see that Americans do not stop to see the essentiality that immigration has to the dream of America towards the advancement of their interest.

They do not even stop to maximize the benefits and minimize the strains of immigration, as they unfairly judge the immigrants and go further to discriminate them. The Americans are also prejudiced towards the immigrants because of fear of change given the difference in culture, as it is partly because of immigration that America has witnessed the growth and prosperity wile shaping the ever-changing American society. Americans do not stop to see these benefits and go ahead to initiate prejudicial changes, which are quite divisive and leave much unsettled (Eberhardt and Susan 383-90).

As a natural part of our psychology, prejudice against the immigrants will not allow them conduct themselves like humans, as they are likely to result into a series of moral problems as exhibited in the US between the immigrants and the citizens. There is an upsurge in wrongdoing violations resulting from this prejudice by the Americans on the immigrants considering many deaths are documented daily with many other cases of women raped resulting into the humiliation of the immigrant groups. This is due to the stereotypes caused branding the immigrants as people who only have the intentions of depriving the locals of their resources and even causing more harm than is anticipated.

All these is due to the miscommunication and until the same people start thinking well of their immigrant counterparts, the evil reports due to immigration in the US are likely to continue (Esses et al 374-79).
