PROCESS PARAGRAPH Statement: Humans develop a tendency to get tired of things they have used for quite a while. Some people even get bored with the relationship they have been having for sometime. This may be the reason why relationship breaks at some point. When a person gets tired of his partner he will try to break the relationship to escape the monotony it offers him. Thus he will seek to dump his mate. Definition: Human history records several incidents where people of high respectability have severed the close ties they had with their partners. A couple of examples can be seen in the divorce of Pop Star Britney Spears (who dumped her husband, Jason Alexander, within 55 hours of their marriage) and Hollywood Actor Nicholas Cage (who terminated the relationship with his wife, Lisa Marie Prisely, in just 19 months of their marriage). (Home Page BBC News). Thus it is apparent that even the noble are not free from this predicament. Dumping a mate, while painful in some cases, becomes a necessity in others. Since a human mind is very innovative, one can come up with a hundred ideas on how to dump a mate. What follows is a practical approach to the idea of dumping a mate. Related Action: Every relationship is formed because a couple may have seen some qualities in each other that form a common platform, which helps forging a bond between them. Thus when a person wants to break a relationship, the first step is to make the partner feel that you are no more interested in those things which you initially invested a common interest in. for example, in the formation period of their courtship X used to take Y often to art galleries. Now when X wants to dump Y, he says art shows are pseudo intellectual pretensions and he can’t stand them anymore. Y doesn’t get the hint initially. Now, therefore, X wants to try harder. Contrast: X throws away the ‘Mills & Boons’ that he once so avidly accepted as gifts from Y. This time Y takes the cue and senses a breach in the bond that holds their relationship together. Step 2: The next step is to make your partner know that you have developed an interest in other prospects. Let your new friends call you in the presence of your partner. This way, your partner will understand that you are involved with someone else and know that it is time she thought of departing. This might create a sort of preparedness in her to accept rejection. Example: X now makes it a point to tell his new liaisons to contact him during the time when he knows Y will be around. Related Action: When this happens, X ensures he mentions to the callers about his intention to visit an art gallery the next day. This will annoy Y enough to yell at him, “What makes your vision of galleries change now?” With a smile stretching the corners of his mouth, X responds, “It’s obvious my problem is not with the Gallery as such, isn’t it?” Step 3: If the partner still clings to you like a leech, then it is time to tell her to lay off. Some human beings refuse to accept realities. They will not acknowledge a simple truth unless it is clearly stated to them in so many words. Definition: Though Y understands that their relationship doesn’t mean anything to X any more, she still harbors the hope that things will workout for her. This is the exact moment when she requires the pronouncement. Result: The result obviously will be Y stomping her feet heavily on the marble floor of X’s rented house on her way out of the door. Conclusion: Thus it can be seen that it is an easy process if one plans to dump his partner. All it takes is a little bit of resourcefulness and imagination. But a wiser approach will be to stick to your partner and mend her ways by motivation if you think she needs some change. THE INIMITABLE FLORIST Statement: A florist acts as an intermediary between growers and consumers for the production and selling of flowers. He spends most of his time in arranging and selling flowers according to the customers’ need and provide them satisfaction. Flowers are a product, which is always in demand and people from all walks of life, form its customer community. Because of this the Florist’s business has a wide possibility and it has even flexed its muscles into online marketing. Division: For a Florist all his customers are valuable. However, there is a differentiation in accordance with the behavioral pattern of his customers. The florist’s best customer seems to be husbands who buy flowers to appease their wives. They don’t normally for quality or price. They are looking at the flowers as just symbols of love or care; and they are sure the flowers will please their wives. Definition: Every society has its own tradition and culture that includes behavioral norms and an inventory of solution and when personalities clashes. Thus one of the customer profile will be guilty husbands who wishes to reconciliate with their wives after they have arguments. Comparison: Rather than trying to maintain a cordial and reciprocal relationship with the wife, the husband engages full time in his own affairs, and then when he gets back home he quarrels with her. He knows she must be there to do the chores and thus he has to reconcile. What better option he has other than to pamper her with a bunch of roses? Contrast: The husband who bids to appease a nagging wife is never picky. He goes for anything that salvages the situation temporarily, and will buy expensive flowers without any qualms. From the wife’s perspective, she knows that she has every reason to take it on him. She further realizes that he will bend the way she wants him bent because finally he has to depend on her to get his things done. Division-II: The second type is youths who are usually teenagers, single, first dater etc who spends a high portion of their income on trivial things. Definition: From a florist’s point of view youth are usually confused buyers and are not always conscious about the utility of a product, as their intention is to have maximum pleasure in life according to the change in trends and life style. Example: A first dater is very much confused about what to buy from a florist in the rush to have date with his girlfriend. Inference: He will be unsure, less caring about the right product because he is eager to please his date. He doesn’t even see whether what he wears fits the occasion; he is the type who is oblivious to the world because of the adrenaline gushing in his veins at the thrill of having a new girl. For a florist this guy will listen to what the expert says and pass the bill onto his hands. Division-III: The next type is the housewife who is a savvy shopper. Definition: Like most other women, she is more conscious about product quality, price range etc, and she buys only what is cheap and absolutely essential. Generalization: From the florist’s point of view these customers are flexible and buy those products that are affordable and attractive. But they listen to reason and will come back if he offers them a good product at a reasonable cost. Conclusion: These customers directly or indirectly benefit the florists. Whether it is the guilty husband, the first dater or the savvy housewife, all form part of her invaluable customer base. Interaction with customers of such varying temperament offers the florist a good opportunity to analyze and understand them. A GREAT PARTY PLACE Statement: Youth, the most vigorous period of human life with its mad drive for pleasure ventures into new pastures in fulfillment of their dreams and to exhaust frustrations. Hot nightclubs exist to cater to the fantasies of these pleasure seekers, they turn out to be the potential consumers of sizzling nightlife, rife with material joys. Example: Discotheques are such hot spots, designed to entertain the youngsters with facilities to dance to the tune of thunderous music and drink to the scintillating drum beat and mix with their mates. This is a potential area for investors to rake in money. Cause: The Viper Room is a nightclub located along the sunset strip in West Hollywood, California. It was opened in 1983, partly owned by Actor Johnny Depp. Built on a dreamy expanse of 50,000 square feet silhouetted by walls with eerie figures of dancers, appear most like puppets, who stamp their feet when the music sweep from the squeaky hi-fi systems. The top-less girls snuggle up to the hefty masculine inebriated youths who writhe like serpents as the music uncoils its mazes. Their frenzied cries reverberate on the ceiling and the dangling chandeliers spewing vibrant light as though it were emitting from meteors colliding with ether. Question: What can parents do to extricate their children from the viselike grip of this enigmatic phenomenon? Answer: Pleasure, the ultimate sin, grips one so tight and deep that no force on earth can emancipate mankind from its hold. Inference: Adults have a host of entertainment avenues to choose from. Youth believe that they also have the right to seek the pleasure of their choice. Adults, when they were young might have faced restriction from their parents from following modern entertainment means. Modern life style and culture are more vibrant and flexible than ever. In order to have a relaxed and free mind and to forget their frustrations the youth have only limited means of entertainment facilities like Teens club, MTV videos etc. So they will never cease crowding such facilities. Comparison: Unlike Viper Room, MTV Videos might be defined as visual depiction of an adolescent’s relationships, prurient fantasies, and anger. Evidence: The music, the movements, the seduction, etc. are portrayed and evidenced in true living color to engross the youth. It canalizes their inborn talent to the fullest and provides opportunity to unravel their potential. Conclusion: In this modern world parents do not have much control over their children, each and every individuals after a certain age is like a free bird living their life. Now a days the nightclub environment is turning volatile, bad habits like drinking, drug addiction, etc are rampant everywhere. If everything goes at a controlled rate then it is well and good, but the condition is worse than ever. In spite of all this factors a major part of the newer generation is still attracted towards Nightclubs and other mode of fun and frolic. The current trend must be modulated otherwise the newer generation will be a lost soul with no reprieve. This can be changed only by the total co-operation of people of all age groups in the community, particularly with parental intervention at proper time. . WORKS CITED . Read More
