The time wasted while thinking if only I had a better opportunity or environment like so and so counts a lot towards the failure of an individual to make a step towards positive and productive life that would eventually lead in wealth creation. The circumstance of others always seem to be desirable than those of the people who eventually fail in life (Taylor, 112). The right perception and mentality for people who are ready to succeed should be that the right opportunities and environment for making fortunes is not on the other side of the fence, but the one currently experienced by the individual. This is because, the potential opportunities for building fortunes and creating wealth are lost in the process of procrastination that causes people to sit back and wait until the desired opportunities, circumstances or environment will arise (Taylor, 112). With such a victim mentality, individuals justify their lack of effort by taking the missing desired environment, opportunity or circumstances as the basis for excuses. Thus, the correct mentality for both the business owner and the employee is to perceive the present conditions as sufficient for progress and advancement, as opposed to waiting for the conditions to change.
Wealth is having financial abundance measured in terms of amassed property and assets owned by an individual (Taylor, 2). The financial abundance ensures that a person is independent of others in meeting his/her own needs. Wealth is created through work and then application of certain financial laws that allows individuals to save the proceeds of their work, resulting in accumulated financial wealth over time (Taylor, 210).
