They also make sure to add in the factors that free agency causes, as well as what an NFL team, should respond to using the graphs that the article shows. The article reveals that several patterns can be seen in the NFL numbers. These patterns look to support the findings in the original paper, the Kowalewski and Leeds paper that this article was trying to prove correct or incorrect. The data supported the conclusion that free agency made it much more important for a player to keep track of, and improve their stats for better pay.

This was also the conclusion of the original paper, and this article reaches a similar conclusion. I believe the author's conclusions are sound, and that they have all the data and work shown to properly back up their argument. Reading the article I found no "holes" in their research, and believe it to be a well-researched and thought-out article. I think they possibly could have added in several more real-life scenarios to bring their point home, possibly a real-life example with a real NFL player used as an example.

Or maybe even a quote from a player and their thoughts, that would also add some more depth to the overall message of the article. The findings are an example of evidence I think most people already knew, and I think any NFL watcher would be able to tell you the same thing. I do not watch football, but after reading the article, it all makes sense to me. I also think that this article could next perhaps try to take this same approach to the other sports, even though they are comparable by position.
