The method of terrorism was through the demolition of twin towers, also known as World Trade Center (WTC), at New York. As a way of destruction four airplanes were hijacked to perform a suicide attack for the intention of making an atmosphere of threat among the public of the USA. Among the four hijacked flights two were hit in the WTC towers. The third flight struck the Pentagon, the defense headquarters of the USA and the fourth flight had struck the ground in Pennsylvania. The incident is often referred as 9/11, where almost 3000 people were killed (A&E Television Networks, “9/11 Attacks”). Thesis Statement The thesis topic is about the real perpetrator behind the 9/11 episode. This research will describe if Al Qaeda was the only group who made this mission successful or there was involvement of the USA extremist groups too to make this plan happen. According to a survey about the opinions of people concerning 9/11 attack by New York Times and CBS News, it had been seen that 53% participants consider that the government did not disclose everything about the 9/11 facts and 28% think that government is not rendering the proper information. The number of people who had voted that government is saying truth amounts to only 16% of the respondents (The New York Times / CBS News, “Americans Question Bush on 9/11 Intelligence”). Source: (The New York Times / CBS News, “Americans Question Bush on 9/11 Intelligence”). Thus, this research paper will highlight about the true facts and involvement of the USA behind the terrorism of 9/11. Literature Review In the initial investigation, it is quite apparent that the Islamic groups are involved in the terrorism act. However, it is not agreeable that an Islamic group, namely Al Qaeda, situated in South Asian countries is able to infiltrate a powerful country such as the USA without getting domestic assistance. The studies of several bases provide an insight that the government of the USA had concealed several facts regarding the terrorism. After attack on the USA, many conspiracies had evolved which says that even the Islamic groups are directly related behind the act but the government had helped to let the incident happen. The way of destruction of twin towers has also generated doubt among the people. American citizens have many enquiries regarding the details and consequences of savage attacks as they intend to know the reason and real criminal behind the act. From the hijacking of plane to the destruction of towers many things are till unclear (Rodriguez, “The 9/11 Conspiracy: Was the U.S. Government Behind It?”). Many European delegations as well as that of USA had commented that the US government has active part behind the 9/11 act. Many people thought that the USA was indirectly involved in 9/11 act to guarantee the ‘existence of Israel’ (Msnbc, “Ahmadinejad: Most blame U.S. government for 9/11”). There are many issues about the 9/11 act which developed the role of people of the USA in the 9/11 act. Some of them are discussed below: First issue was the destruction of WTC building. Though everyone knows that the building was destroyed because of the collision of two airlines but certain examinations had argued that it was shattered by a controlled plan. The reason behind this argument is that, generally the destruction of building starts with the intention of blowing from bottom level but in case of WTC, the collision had occurred from upper level (Blanchard, “A Critical Analysis of The Collapse of WTC Towers 1, 2, & 7 From An Explosives and Conventional Demolition Industry Viewpoint”). The accident of tower was doubted to have occurred as a result of explosive demolition. According to experience of engineers, a construction collapses entirely if the gravitation power is increased. In case of demolition any building engineer always focuses on the lowest level of that particular building. However, the case of WTC was different. The buildings of WTC started collapsing where the plane struck. In general, no floors on top or underneath the points of impact ever shift, unless the structural fundamentals within the collision sector start to fall down. There were no autonomous failures in the building while the building structure was falling down. Thus, it is been assumed that besides planes, explosives were also used to wipe out the buildings and government was trying to conceal this fact. The way of collision of two buildings in the ground developed the thought that the USA was involved for the deadliest act. Everyone is aware that ‘principle of gravity’ is the main factor for falling down of any high building. The destruction of WTC buildings followed the ‘principle of gravity’. The buildings were grounded by facing slightest resistance though there was high resistance to demolish those huge buildings. Thus, it looks reminiscent of a premeditated incident (Blanchard, “A Critical Analysis of The Collapse of WTC Towers 1, 2, & 7 From An Explosives and Conventional Demolition Industry Viewpoint”). Another case was the collision of WTC 7. It was said that, the WTC 7 building was purposefully dragged down. No flight had struck in that building. The possessor of that building had cited that the building had destroyed under his pronouncement. This statement is extremely suspicious as no proprietor is never in a situation to state about the destruction of his own building. The allegation that the WTC 7 was not significantly affected by the strikes of plane was false because that building was affected as several steel girders had dropped straight towards that building from hundreds of kilometers above (Blanchard, “A Critical Analysis of The Collapse of WTC Towers 1, 2, & 7 From An Explosives and Conventional Demolition Industry Viewpoint”). Discussion In order to make the 9/11 event accomplish a huge attempt had been made from various government including the USA. There was several causes for 9/11 act. It has been alleged that the incident was impossible without the help of the USA defense system. The entire system prevalent to look after the complete procedure of the country willingly let that incident happen. The Air Force of the USA was required to fly as the planes were hijacked but they were ordered to step down. The losses would not occur unless the US Air Defense intentionally unplugged the system. Flights that lost connection with Air Traffic Control (ATC) were generally interrupted by fighter planes within ten minutes of hijacking. It was the USA government’s fault that they allowed the hijacked flights to move on towards New York. The flights were not stopped for sixty minutes after realizing that those were hijacked (Kaminski, “9/11 Was A Hoax”). Only the collision of flights is not the only reason for the fall of WTC towers. In the time of collision, majority of the ignition fuel was devoured in fire and in the south tower majority of the ignition fuel fell outside the tower. Thus, there was not enough oil and heat which can liquefy the steel of both buildings. The suspicious things were the intensity of flames which became unmanageable under those towers which generate the thought of utilizing components of destruction on those towers for collision. The statement of Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is also suspicious. According to the director of FBI, Mr. Robert Muller, they (FBI) did not acquaint with this type of assault, but the real fact was that FBI was already inspecting about the probability of just this type of assault for approximately 10 years. FBI was screening about various efforts of using flight as mace of destruction. Indeed, FBI was familiar with the terrorism plan named ‘Project Bojinka’ and doubtful persons who were engaged in the project. Seven days before the attack, the USA had got warnings from other countries about the attack but FBI had concealed those warnings and intentionally ignored. About 60 minutes before the assault begun the names of suspected hijackers, which were all Muslims were revealed. But, the FBI director stated that he was uninformed about the event. Despite knowing the name of the terrorists, FBI had not shown any attempt to generate the records and investigate the reason for not being the names in the passenger records (Kaminski, “9/11 Was A Hoax”). The US representatives had also made fake announcements about the fire that struck in those towers. It had been said that the fire was managed and there was no risk in the construction of tower. The intention of ruling the entire world is considered as the main reason of 9/11 attack. The assault at Afghanistan was displayed as an attempt to follow the alleged perpetrators of terror act but it had been planned before the attack on the USA. The USA wanted a frightening enemy to achieve its violent political objectives which is to become a billionaire country. Through the 9/11 attack, the USA had successfully created the Muslim world as their enemy to infiltrate their country and take the oil resources. The 9/11 attack was just an excuse to start the military power of the USA for the intention of becoming a dominator of the world (Kaminski, “9/11 Was A Hoax”). Conclusion From the above discussion, it can be observed that the incident of 9/11 became successful because of Al Qaeda as well as the alleged assistance of the US officials. Government had not disclosed many issues regarding the attacks and the behavior of government was puzzling which had created the suspicions among the citizens of the USA. The rumor, the USA spread that the reason behind terrorist attack was to make people to change their belief to Islam or disliking Islam or Muslims were envious because of America’s prosperity is wrong. The Al Qaeda had commented that this kind of terrorism will go on unless particular foreign strategy i.e. the USA’s strategies in the Middle East countries are banned completely. They never said the assault will persist unless western people ‘believe in Alah’ or get independence. Thus, in future, if the USA does not want to hurt their own nation the citizens need to be extremely careful in selecting their government who can run the country perfectly and transparently (Representative Press, “Motives for 9/11 Terrorist Attacks”).
