The paper “The Green City Journey in UAE” is an excellent example of an environmental research paper. The aim of this study is to look at the “Go green initiatives” and tries to look at ways of generating environmentally friendly and renewable sources of energy. It will also sensitize investors and the general public on this new trend who will also be the beneficiaries of the project. The aim of greening initiatives will also be studied and also the efforts to go green in the UAE will also be looked at.

Some of the initiatives that will be mentioned in this study include Masdar City which is a planned city in Abu Dhabi that is expected to be carbon neutral. Other initiatives like the adaptation of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) that helps in tackling the effects of climate change will also be looked at. The finding of this research shows that a large percentage of people in the UAE are aware of climatic issues and are willing to put their effort into saving the future of mankind.

The finding also shows that every individual, both male and female take climatic issues seriously. Other findings include;1. The UAE has succeeded in the green city journey; however, there is a need to continue with sensitization initiatives.2. There is to put in place so that every individual is involved in greening initiatives in the UAE. 3. There is a need to put in place to reduce the negative effects of climate change and to prevent further negative effects. CHAPTER 2INTRODUCTION2.1 BACKGROUND INFORMATION In recent years, pollution has become very serious and has caused many natural disasters.

This is because pollution results in the emission of carbon dioxide which is a greenhouse gas that leads to global warming (National Geographics, 2014). Pollution is related to power plants, planes, cars, and other human activities that involve the burning of fossils fuels like natural gasses and gasoline. The literature review of this paper discusses how these greenhouse gasses and global warming lead to natural disasters like adverse warm weather, floods, and the spread of diseases.
