It is near the southern part of the park, situated close to Chatswood (to its west). Figure 1 illustrates the location of the site within the wider catchment area.The area close to this site is highly developed and populated. However, the area of the creek is hilly with deep valleys cut by the river. This creek is positioned with a narrow and steep valley with the Lane Cove River running through a portion of this valley. This section of the park has many visitors and the creek provides pedestrian access to the remainder of the park.

In addition, it is possible to access the creek from Lady Game Drive and Delhi Road. Boat access is also possible up to the weir section of the Lane Cove River.There are residential properties visible (north, south, east and west) from the creek in all parts of the park. The Lane Cove River bisects the creek as indicated in Photo 1. The river flows southwards, although it meanders in this part of the creek. The river keeps flowing till it reaches the weir as indicated in Photo 2.The purpose of this report is to assess the possibility of rehabilitating the creek area.

This involves the regeneration of a large portion of the tree stocks, which have been damaged by bushfires, diseases, poor soils and wildlife. Moreover, it is also planned to improve access facilities for local people.This creek comprises a wide valley which lies in an east-west direction with the Lane Cove River at the base of the valley. As the river moves southwards, the valley widens and the steepness of the slopes lessens.The slopes on the northern portion of the valley are very steep with no possible access for humans on foot.

The mean gradient of the slope is approximately 60% with it reaching 80% in some parts of the park. There is some evidence that measures were constituted to avert slippage.
