Responses to the global environmental challenges have become one of the heated debatable matters around the world, as a number of organizations, researchers, and nations are endeavoring to sustain the continuity of the global environment, where is harmed by different natural and manmade causes. In order to come up with an effective solution, it is very important to understand and go into the core of the global problem. In the last two decades, a number of nations have launched satellites and research centers for the effective study of global changes that are affecting the environment. This paper will study two of the global environmental changes that are affecting the environment on a global scale, deforestation, and desertification. A brief summary will be provided, which will be followed by its causes and factors. Consequently, implications will be provided for the possible response action for the abovementioned environmental changes.

Our planet is confronting one of the major changes due to the conversion of forested areas for commercial, residential, and other uses. The forestlands are utilized as a logged area, as well as, lands for the storage of waste products. In other words, the quantity of forests is reducing every year due to the process of deforestation around the globe. Generally, biodiversity has reduced in a degraded environment due to the removal of a number of forest coverings in various countries of the world. A significant percentage of the forests have been destructed for the purpose of deforestation.
