?Veterinary Activity and Promotional Advertisements Strategies for conducting surveys and collecting data investigated.  In deciding what are the methods and protocol to conduct in surveys, it is imperative to consider certain parameters such as what are the information being sought, the limit of the budget for the specific project, the time when such project is to be implemented (such as, if it is in accord to a specific season where demand is higher compared to the rest) and lastly, the most important is the target population. In this regard, what will also affect the methods and strategies should also look into the response rate and how the whole survey was being implemented. The area we are talking here is veterinary products and services. It covers a limited scope and gamut, that it why it is not difficult to determine the methods to be used for the consumer can be easily identified. We can opt for three methods; 1) the conducting of face to face interviews, b) carrying out of telephone interviews and c) sending mailed questionnaires. However, with the advancement of state-of-the-art technologies, these methods can be applied through the internet and the utilization of contact centres. Conducting survey to the target group(s) and identification of at least three key areas of practice promotion that meet the needs of the local community Before a project or activity is to be lunched, it is important that there is an identification of the potential consumers and customers. It is best to consider that customers and consumers can be classified into categories: one is the individual customer and the other one is business organizations. Between the two, what would need intensive research is the individual consumer. For one the individual is unpredictable, and most of the time, they can only be considered as valid consumers once they have the budget and the preference for the products and services you are offering. On the other hand, businesses are stable and are established based on their preference of a certain product in the first place. Applying this simple concept, face-to-face interviews, and telephone interviews can be conducted to random individuals in order to determine what are their major concerns when it comes to animal care (e.i. their pets) and for larger business, the same concern would revolved around animal husbandry (e.i. farms and poultry). A classification of the community and locality that you are in, will greatly narrow down to whom should the survey be conducted. Design a survey that will tailor the extent of how your product and services will survive in the market. Or another way of looking at it would be, tailoring you r products and services to what the market in your locality needs. The focus of the survey therefore would be one; a) practices that will result to the greatest benefit of the locality that you are in and b) gaining the biggest monetary advantage from these best practices. Bringing the basics of marketing analysis into the context of health care and other health-related practices, physician practice promotion was be considered. Factors that have influenced and will influence consumer’s choice must be clearly evaluated in order to come up with programs that will increase income and revenue. When we talk about “medical marketing”, the concept covers a wide gamut of activities that are associated to practice promotion. Practice promotion has long been incorporated with activities such as practice literature, managed care initiates, through media advertising, conducting of patient seminars, among others. Market research and consumer surveys would point to the following key areas of practices (though may vary from places to places) are: animal vaccination, implementation of health insurance to pets, and to maintenance. Technologies would suggest that the most common and widely-used practice promotion would be advertisements. It communicates to the broadest number of people at the cheapest cost. Benefits of practice promotion through advertisements It has been emphasized by the Animal Health Institute of the United States represents the different trade associations engaged in the manufacturing of animal health care products such as vaccines and other food products. The trade in this area is highly controlled and monitored by the United States’ government has established numerous agencies that assure these products meet the standards. This regulation is due to the major roles of animals as they provide for our basic food source, such as meat and dairy. The same organization has dedicated its best practice efforts to promote the importance of keeping these animals healthy. Public knowledge on why and how it is achieved is vital. Advertisements and other commercial endeavors must be honest, accurate and complete. As a guiding standard, it is the foundation of many good practices in advertising that these commercials are based on valid and sound science, that is, the right form of scientific inquiry has been conducted to yield the result. This will lead animal doctors and pet owners to select and opt for the right product to treat their pet’s conditions. Endeavors must indicate that accuracy in scientific information is being provided to the clientele. It is also a standard that outmost honesty is given not only to the consumers but most importantly to the authorities in charged in the regulation. It must also be assured that these promotional products followed consistent standards and lastly, it must comply with the prevalent laws of the land and animal health statutes. Best practices advertisements and for promotional guidelines should be consistent with what was provided for in the labels. Since the animal products came from accurate science it must be promoted to the public in such a way that they will fully grasp the science behind them. Another aspect of advertisements would be the use of comparison with other products; in the event of these comparisons, the figures must be backed up with precise figures and statistical data. As much as veterinarians are trained to determine the appropriate medication to provide these animals, they must be equally trained to determined whether the products those are available present accurate and complete information about the products. Parameters and goals of the activity The promotional activity will be a free consultation clinic for pets. It is to be held for two full days, where pets are given free check-up and grooming. During this evaluation, a decent examination will be conducted to the pets that will cover different levels of its character. A general pet information must be obtained which will show the basic physical features of the pet such as breed and color and how the pet was obtained. Also, it has to be determined what is the pet’s personality, whether quite, confident, excitable, bold, stubborn or unruly. A reinforcement assessment must also be done to the pets, which will detail the pet’s favorite rewards, whether they are food or other things such as a specific toy or affection. Next, a part of the evaluation will include the examination of the daily pet activities, such as the type of exercise the pet engages in and for how long such exercise takes place. The daily sleeping pattern and favorite sleeping spot will also be recorded. The training done to the pets and how it responds along with its punishment to it must also be examined. For possible injuries, it must be identified how the animals were handled at home and when somewhere else. A very important part of the assessment is the medical screen which will identify specific details in the pet’s senses, the manner how the pet drinks and urinates. A thorough examination of the stool and urine will be made, as well the way the pet eats and bowels. Based from previous records, medical problems and the presence of other medication must be clearly indicated; laboratory tests the pets has undergone and former outcomes must also be identified. Departure behavior and aggression screen has to be done as well. It is highly recommended that these activities are done under the supervision of licensed animal doctor or veterinarian. Along with free clinic and check-up, seminars on how owners can attend to the immediate needs of the animals must be inculcated to the activity. Most pet owners nowadays are more dependent to drugs and vaccines that they tend to forget the basics in taking care of their pets. It must be shown in the activity the basics in terms of first aid, they have to be lectured what are the signs and symptoms of pet disease such as hereditary, structural and infectious diseases in animals. Aside from that, it must be discussed in the activity that animals are usually borne with disease that re in fact hereditary and may not manifest itself into the early years of the pet’s life, hence the owner must be made aware of the different types of vaccination that are available and the options they have. Moreover, many pet owners are not aware of the broad gamut of animal diseases available, what are their manifestations, how are they transmitted and how can they prevented before that infect other pets or make the situation worsen causing the pet to die and become a threat to human health, as well. This is the primary goal of the activity, where pet owners are made aware of the different threats that could harm their pets and what are the best solutions available for them. As animal doctors, it is their responsibilities that pets do not undergo such physical torture. These pets might be feeling sick and pain which they cannot communicate to their owners, hence it is imperative that these owners will be able to identify them and prevent them from developing into serious infections.
