?Autobiography My is Munguntuya and I was born in Mongolia in the year of 1985. Tracing back my lineage it can be seen that my ancestors belonged to a very lower class society but gradually with time they worked hard so that we could lead a better life. My family now belongs to the middle class society because of the struggles that my ancestors did. My grandmother was a famous actor in Mongolia and because her I was able to see a lot of plays during my childhood. My family life revolves around my parents and two siblings i.e. one brother and one sister. I am the eldest of all my siblings. Starting from the days of my childhood I always had a keen interest in education and that is the reason I decided to pursue some degree to achieve a successful career. Born in Mongolia we never were modern enough to know about a lot of things in the modern world and that is why I had to face several difficulties when I moved from Mongolia. My childhood was a pleasant journey for me as I gained a lot of knowledge during my childhood. After reaching an age of twenty one me and my parents moved over to the United States but had to face several problems because of the new culture that we found here. Now after living here for five years I have become used to this culture and consider myself an important part of USA. My childhood was filled with good memories about my parents and siblings as we used to live together happily as a family. My siblings were always nice to me and had my support in whatever problem that they faced in their life. As I was the eldest of my siblings I had to take some responsibilities whenever it came to my siblings. I was very possessive about my sister and brother when they were young and solved a lot of problems that they were going through in their childhood. Once my brother was being bullied by his classmates and someone told me about it. I ran to the scene and a fight broke out between the bullies and my friends after which they never even talked to my brother. My sister has always been a powerful figure in life and has solved her problems by herself. She has been quite competitive in her class and is the best amongst us in studies. I started studying when I was at the age of six years. I joined Mongolian Russian joint school to complete my high school. During my school life I had to go through a lot of ups and downs. I was interested in sports and joined the school team of basketball. While I contributed to the sports of my school I also worked hard for my studies and was good in the subjects of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. I was involved in other activities while I was studying for my high school. After I entered high school I started modelling and went to the competitions of modelling. Although I could not win I learned quite a few things and had exposure in the new arena of modelling. Ever since I entered high school I learned about the concept of diversity. In my class I had many students who belonged to different countries and spoke different languages. Seeing these people I developed a keen interest in their languages and decided to increase my knowledge in the subject of diversity. Ever since my high school I have been interested in learning about new cultures and have gained much about the concept of diversity. Multilingual classrooms proved to be somewhat helpful for me in gaining different concepts. As I developed a keen interest in learning about new culture I also visited several places in Russia and China. Seeing the people over there at first I got a bit confused as the people living in China and Russia followed different traditions. After viewing their traditions and culture I researched on them and found quite interesting things about them. Visiting China and Russia increased my knowledge about their history which I previously was unknown about. All these points have counted for me so that I can understand life in a better way. I completed my high school at the age of 16 and struggled ahead to complete my educational career. Life in itself is an experience for every individual as every step that we take in life helps us to gain an insight about life. It tells us as to how different things in life can and should be managed. An important pathway of my life is to achieve academic and professional success. In my view to achieve success in this path I need to be both sharp and witty when selecting my paths. As I have moved ahead in life I have realized that with the determination of my kind I can be able to achieve anything. This determination has made strong in life and helped me in taking decisions which I have not regretted. Choosing the path of success in my professional life has become an aim for me because of this very strong determination and I think if I utilize it in the correct manner I’ll be able to achieve what I aim to. But as said by Christopher Moore "Nobody's perfect. Well, there was this one guy, but we killed him....". It clearly depicts that I personally have my own weaknesses in achieving my goals. All over these years I have realized that learning something is not easy for me. It takes time for me to learn things which others learn in a while. But this weakness can easily be overcome if I give all of my attention to my goals. This attention helps me to not only learn and understand things but also to excel in these things. After my high school I decided to complete a degree in the field of linguistics. Visiting China and Russia created this interest for me as people in different places spoke different languages. I chose Linguistics as my major and teaching and translating as a minor. I have always chosen to be a leader in everything that I get involved in. In my university I became the leader of the class as I had the right capabilities to lead in the right time. I had the ability to critically analyze situations and act in the similar manner. I was also a member of the student committee in my university which made me strong as a leader. I have also been involved in debate competitions and have visited Japan twice for speech competitions. Although I did not win any event but I have come to know a lot about the debates. After completing my bachelors I and my parents decided to move to the United States of America for a better future. In 2006 we moved to the United States of America only to witness another culture which was entirely different than the culture I was brought up in. After I started living in USA I learned quite a few things about the new culture. USA was a developed nation where everyone was concerned with his/her own business. People here did not interfere much into the happenings of the society. I saw bars and clubs to be common everywhere and even a student of 18 years old was visiting these clubs and bars. I still remember that when I first saw a person using a credit card in America I got confused and asked him as to what was he doing with the card ? Later on I came to know that these cards are commonly being used over here. The concept of credit card was not common in Mongolia in the times that I moved to USA. The fast food chains in America were previously unknown to me but as I spent time over here I got to know much about them. Although I am still not a fan of these fast food chains I tend to visit them often. After moving to United States I realized that education was a necessary part of life and one had to struggle till he was competent enough. In 2010 I decided to pursue another degree of bachelors in the subject of justice. I chose the subject of justice because I was keen at helping and working the immigrants that are moving into the United States. I have completed my graduation in Linguistics and this has helped me in understanding the value of time, money and other available resources. With the diversified workforce and student population, comes the concept of multiculturalism. I have developed a cultural profile of US and have gained sufficient knowledge of the US, Asian and Pacific culture. My personal interest in learning languages and cultural values of different people has helped me in gaining knowledge of people’s beliefs and expectations. The key to success in any field is good communication skills and strong professional relationships with people. Having acquired the knowledge of people’s expectations and culture, I have the expertise to communicate and interact with them efficiently. My interest and continuous association with the educational environment enables me to follow the rules, respect other’s values, integrate in the culture of the educational institute and learn in the diversified classroom environment. Gaining all this relevant knowledge I believe that I can complete my bachelors from here and then pursue the degree of masters. Gaining the concept of multiculturalism has helped me greatly and I believe that I can further enhance my knowledge with the right struggle on the right time. I have also worked as a leader in the International Children’s centre and have handled around 45 kids that used to come from all around the world. All my life I have seen many ups and downs but I have learned one thing that one should never be let down in life. At every stage we need to struggle hard for the thing that we require in life. I believe that education has a prime importance in the world today and so everyone should struggle to gain knowledge. By visiting different places I have been able to learn a lot about the concepts of multiculturalism and I believe that I can gain further knowledge by working with the immigrants in the future. For now I have adopted the culture of United States but still look forward to the cultures being followed in the countries located in Southeast Asia. Read More
