His family migrated to Canada in 1925 and he, along with his father, began constructing hotels. The first one built was Inn on the Park which was opened in 1961 in Toronto. Despite the hotel being situated in a poor red light district, it attracted rich customers and went on to become an upscale hotel. Within the same decade, Issy managed to put up three hotels in Canada. After 50 years, Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts made a name for it and transformed the hotel industry by putting in efficiency and a friendly attitude into the excellent international traditions of hotel management.

One of the more recent five-star hotels built by Isadore Sharp’s enterprise is the Four Seasons Hotel in Hong Kong. It became open to the public in September of 2005 and is located in Hong Kong’s International Finance Centre. It has 918 rooms in its 45-story building, 519 of which are residential units and 399 for its clientele. These rooms are exquisitely and stylishly designed all of which offer a breath-taking view of Hong Kong’s city skyline and harbor. The hotel has the most updated amenities and facilities that any visitor can ask for (Weber, 1997).

Four Seasons Hong Kong is proud of being the 1st ever hotel in the world which has two restaurants granted the prestigious “three-Michelin-starred” title. These two are Caprice, a French restaurant, and Lung King Heen, a Cantonese restaurant (Kuhn, 2009).
An analysis of the Four Seasons Hotel Hong Kong will be done in this paper to give an inside look at what makes or breaks this chain of the Four Seasons conglomerate.
