I would like to tell you're a good office why I deserve the CBSD Scholarship. Every African American teenager old enough to appreciate his ancestors’ determination & sacrifices has dreamed of being able to do his part in continuing to make a difference in this world. I am not an exception. This path I have taken has brought me countless opportunities which I have used in order to touch the lives of my family, my friends, and other people. With the dawn of a new America led by President Barrack Obama, I see the College Bound San Diego Scholarship as a tool of encouragement to stay on this path of learning and consequently touch even more lives.

In my heart, I feel “Yes I Can”. I am aware of the demands this scholarship will ask of me. But since I see the CBSD Scholarship as a precious gift, I would definitely be on task to complete the education I have always dreamed about. The founders of San Diego College Bound have created a legacy. It would be an honor for me to be able to proudly say I was a part of it.
