Are Books Dead How has the work of the changed over the last decades?  The work of the has changed over the last decades because of the electronic or digital trend or revolution will carry about the end of physical books. But even more important, digital or eBooks and e-publishing will end the career of the writer. Later on or in future, these digital books will be written by groups or teams, by those who were by now recognized in the period of the physical book and by subject lovers. The electronic or digital revolution will not manumit authors or start up a new era of creativeness, but it will offer writers to perform their work for free or unpaid. it will mean that writers offer up their work for next to nothing or for free. Career of writing or composing will soon disappear or come to an end (Morrison, 2011). 2. How do writers survive—do crowd funding and ‘pay with a tweet’ really work?  Due to the age of e-books publishing and its booms, the authors of paper books have to survive very wisely. The books have been transferring from mills to the hard disks of the computers, which are easy to purchase at low costs. The authors are worried whether they should leave the books industry as they have been failing to earn enough for living a good life in the presence of digital industry. For this purpose they should have to find the facts and figures to tackle the problem. There are many great sources of digital world to sell the non-digital products, such as Amazon is the best place to sell the paper books by publishing the reviews and introduction of the books. The way of selling the books by Amazon is great to get the attention of book readers by convincing them to purchase it soon. The way of tweets is also a useful source of writers’ help (Morrison, 2011). 3. How has publishing changed, and affected the work that writers produce? With the era of digital publishing and digital distribution, the era of writer advancement is approaching to stop. With no progress from marketers, writers rely upon upcoming sales; they drain themselves into obligation on the chance of an upcoming strike or hit. But as well-known marketers encounter to contest with electronic opponents, they are shifting progressively towards increasing short-term earnings, gambling on the already-launched, and away from caring skill(Morrison, 2011). The Bookseller stated during 2009 that Publishers are reducing writer developments by as much as 80% in the UK. A well-known saying among providers, when talking about developments is 10K is the new 50K in the meantime. And as one fictional manager lately place it: The days of posting a writer, in contrast to posting a manuscript or book, appear to be ended. Marketers are concentrating on the temporary and are cutting down midlist writers. Midlist writers are neither bestsellers nor beginners and in the 20th century, they were previously the Research and development department of printing or publishers. It was contained by the midlist that upcoming award-achievers and best book sellers were hot-housed (for example, Don Delillo was permanent as a midlist novelist above the six underachieving guides or books that beat his “underworld” a Pulitzer-appointed, multi-award winning novel. In respond to the elimination of their residing salary, many authors have made the decision to give up the majority completely: they have appeared to consider that publishers and their submission techniques are outdated; that too many merchandisers, booksellers have been residing off their work or performance (Battersby, 2013). 4. Are writers still ‘artists’ or merely ‘content providers’—or both? To earn money through writing is not as easy as it is considered. The content of writers plays an important role to earn more efficiently. It was old pattern of the consumers to spend more time in reading too many pages of books, but now the consumers needs interesting and informative content in short quantitative books. The readers do not have much time to read boring or time wasting contents, as it happened in past. Different reviews of the books have proved that those writers are successful who have been providing much interesting content in artistic way, and those who are providing only content are blaming to the digital industry of e-books(Morrison, 2011). Though online books are very popular amongst the readers because of cheap source of approach but mostly the content of online cannot be as genuine as the writers produce. Through printed books, it can be differentiate easily for bogus and genuine contents (Battersby, 2013). To become a successful writer in terms of high wage, the content should be presented in artistic way; otherwise there would be no earnings for the only content providers. 5. What are the issues to do with copyright in a digital age? The digital age is very beneficial for the readers, as they can read their favorite and required content very easily by a single click on the internet (Battersby, 2013). But the writers, artists, and the photographers are not happy because of the modern technology use as they have been facing losses due to the absence of efficient copyright rules for them. Their contents and creativities can be transferred to anyone just by saving it on any single hard drive. Researchers, magazine writers, and every type of readers are getting knowledge at very low costs but it has created many issues for the real writers. The writers cannot contact to their lawyers that who had stolen or copied their content through internet. Other issues include the releases of models, privacy invasion, intended usage, link address use, etc. There is the need of authentic technologies to save the writers’ copyright by law enforcement agencies. Their content should be saved at their names for hundred years by giving them profitable revenues online (Fulks, 2014). 6. and how do writers decide which platform or combination of platforms best reaches their audience: print, e-books, zines, blogs, multi-media, handmade artist books? A program reported on the BBC channel, described that the publishers should have to use quick ways to make the work available for every reader and the customers. The success key of the digital age is the capability of the every platform on any type of device, only a single platform cannot result in efficient outcomes (Battersby, 2013). The writers have to notice the choices of their readers that what platforms are used to access their contents? The target markets need more appealing ways to selling the writers’ brands. The writers should not assume it by themselves about the target customers, because it needs genuine reviews and public surveys to know every raised area. Those authors, who publish their content by their own investments, should be more conscious for selling their books properly (GRABAS, 2013). The authors can use different platforms to promote their books. Such as; Use of social networks by expanding the number of online readers, getting in touch with the local bookstores by adopting the profit sharing policy, using the great search engine Google, this is specified for the writers’ books publicity. The e-books have become a most popular way for both the markets as well as for the writers for the selling of printed books. The displays of the amazing sculptures are made to stack the books. The importance of designs also cannot be ignored for the target audience (Crafts, 2013). To fulfill the basic needs of the writers by earning enough money, the role of multimedia cannot be ignored. There is the need of some strategies to make more profitable the multi-media source, such as organizing the events for publicity the specific books, podcasting, arrangements of the sponsorship markets, merchandising the sales, etc (D.K. Row, 2013). For the writers, online marketers, bloggers, chefs, and the other entrepreneurs; it has become a basic need to introduce the own brands through e-books publishing. This idea can change the life of authors for their developed contents, because the number of e-readers has been doubling day by day by correctly execution. For building the audience more efficiently, the use of e-book tool can bring miraculous changes in the life of writers and the authors (Jun, 2014). E-zines has become an effective platform for the writer’s jobs and the writers’ markets. There are many more ads and lists of websites to find best place for the writers’ choice to get their place in the national and international markets. This source can be called an online library or a great book store both for the readers and writers at the same time (Looby, 2013). Print writing was the only one platform for the writer before the invention of the web writing. It is also called the older form of writing in these days, because it takes much time in printing and publishing and no authentic uses of multimedia and links of the websites. Though many technologies have been introduced for writing but the importance of print writing cannot be ignored. Educational curriculums are a great example of print writers all over the world (Patel, 2014). The blogs can play an important role to bring successful results for the contents of the writers. The writers should have to present short introductions of their contents for sale to the consumers, then the reviews of the readers can increase the number of more readers and the writers can know their quality of work very easily through this source (Hutchinson, 2014). It is concluded that the writers should use every platform to promote their books to get higher revenues. Questions 1. Why the copyright companies are not playing an efficient role to secure the profits of writers through online resources? 2. Why governments are not supporting the writers by providing funds to produce more genuine contents? 3. How the reader s can be saved easily from the scam or bogus content published by the real writers’ names? Bibliography Battersby, Matilda.
