Developing Experience in Business - Essay Example

I attribute that strength to my positive attitude. I fully prescribe to the notion that writing is a process. I repeatedly read over the same material multiple times to get the deeper meaning of whatever am reading. I find a deep sense of achievement in the process of writing my paper but occasionally face minor challenges. For instance, at some point I find myself using wordy sentences that contain redundant words to express my ideas. Furthermore, I find it hard to differentiate between past and present tense, punctuation, or spelling mistakes, and these at times detract from the message I am attempting to convey. This is because English is my second language, and I am learning to use it. I am making a continued effort to work out this problem.

I have little experience in business writing and in the past, the only formal writing I have completed has been in the form of the emails that I have sent to teaching assistants and professors. Also, I have done some letters, reports, and other business communication writing that is giving some level of experience in how to handle various business articles.

During this course, I would like to work on presenting clear and concise writing and improving the readability of my written composition. I hope I will be able to overcome the weaknesses in my formal writing skills by taking BUS 360W. I am confident that good business writing skills will be extremely important in my future career.
