The speech indicates how the Negro does not enjoy equal rights to the Whites. This acts as the foundation for the realization of the need to liberate the Negro from the ties of the Whites. Thus, Martin indicates that there is a possibility of giving the Negro freedom and ensuring that this population can enjoy social equality in terms of justice and sharing of other social amenities.

It is believed that the election of President Barrack Obama was the fulfillment of the dream of Martin Luther King. The speech acted as an inspiration to millions of African-American individuals. In this speech, Martin addresses the issue of inequality between races in terms of human rights. The speech is unique in terms of the way it was delivered and it utilizes metaphors and repetition effectively. Such stylistic devices ensure that a person can comprehend the meaning of speech and its intended audience.
