The fundamental aspect in the peer review cycle is the blind review. In this case, the reviewers do not have any prior information about the author and this increases the possibility of making a genuine judgement consequently, the manuscript is given strength and genuineness.

In peer review cycle, the editor is always different from the peer reviewers. They both perform different functions. For instance, the manuscript is send to the editor for quality check and on the hand, sent to the peer reviewers for review. Similarly, the editor is aware of the author of a peer review, while the peer reviewer is not. Thirdly, peer reviewers recommend for publication of a manuscript, while the editors choose what to publish. The article for this week is a peer reviewed because it passed through the due process of a peer review.

The experts made efforts to determine a new aspect about the research, decide if there is sufficient support of the conclusions and verify that, the idea under consideration is a contribution to the field.
