I fail to understand why a parent can be so resentful towards her own flesh and blood in times of problems and yet still call him or herself a parent. When things however brighten and look up for the “black sheep” of the family, the parent will be among those rejoicing and even wanting to share and benefit from the same person they have been assuming and mistreating previously and pretend they are the best parents ever and even praise that person.

The punishment that the evil stepsisters got in the end was well deserved and the same should have happened to her father and stepmother.
