My objective was to aid the development and execution of the aforementioned project. I read and interpreted the business and data requirements of software. By various steps and working with others, I identified the data readiness gaps and made resolutions to the issues that came in the way to successful completion of the project. I took help and suggestions from data experts and others with experience to avoid any issues that could arise out of inexperience or lack of knowledge. I further researched about every issue that came in the way to get knowledge of it before it was simply resolved by experts. D. In 50 words or more what skills did you develop/demonstrate as a result of working on this objective? I have developed interpersonal skills and got acquainted with the practical working environment. I have learnt to use the data handling tools and techniques. My researching and problem solving abilities are also developed in the course of resolving issues and data gaps that arose. The company used the services of juniors and carried out the work. The objective helped them in understanding the training needs of new recruits and identified the potentially weak areas of new candidates who join them. They are able to test new candidate on the potentially risky areas to find the suitable candidate for future job positions on offer. The activation of SAP PCP functionality was achieved by the step by step collection of data and data entry in the software. I played a major role in data collection and assembled it for the forecasting exercise. The forecasts were produced as an approximation of the collected data adjusted for any changes in employee related costs in the current period. The budgets were prepared with careful attention given to any changes in the employment level, labor rates and amount of extra work provided by the employees. I kept the record of the progress as per the plans and updated the employees higher in the chain of command regarding any gaps. D. I developed progress management and plan reviewing skills in order to successfully accomplish the goals. Any discrepancy in the plans is properly accounted for by revising the plans. I was actively involved in the work environment so I could better experience and explain the issues that employees (both permanent, contractual and internees) were facing. I further could elaborate in more depth about the discrepancies in learning environment they provided. The training needed or the levels of autonomy given were explained during the meetings to help the company re-plan or review their internship programs. I achieved this objective by accounting for the claims with personal experience and accounts provided. I kept a level of professionalism while highlighting the drawbacks in the system to avoid conflicts and offensive reactions. D. While on meetings, I was always properly dressed up in an official manner. I was punctual and always on or before the meeting time to show a professional behavior. As a demonstration of best practice, I made notes of the meeting to show a responsible attitude and my devotion towards learning and understanding the work environment. I was helpful in identifying the strengths and weaknesses of the company’s work environment. In particular I took part in highlighting the benefits and brighter side of their internship opportunities that included a helpful staff, the degree of autonomy given in the work area, the level of trust they maintained and the clear job activities provided to the internees with guidelines that helped a lot during the course of this internship period. I was given the task to create a plan for the next year in the HR department. In order to do so, I extracted the previous year’s plan and after an in-depth reading of it, I became acquainted with the company’s strategy a bit. Rather than applying my whole bookish knowledge, I analyzed what the previous year’s plan contained and adjusted it for the current year’s needs and demands of and from the organization. I created the plan by incorporating the current year changes. For the data on changes needed, I took help from the HR personnel and other staff relevant to the decisions and yearly planning of HRD. I made tremendous efforts to create a yearly plan that incorporates all the requirements of the firm in the human Resource Department I worked. I took part in the discussions on the needs of the Department and interacted with the experts and managers to make the plan as per expectations. E. In 50 words or more how did this objective benefit the organization/company? The company was provided with a third party review of the plan and an independent opinion on the previous year’s plan. I gave opinions on the discrepancies which were remarkable in the budgets/plans and the actual results. The budgets were then reviewed to close the gap, or at least were noted. In order to accomplish this task, I firstly had to take permission from the various departments to be with them and question them randomly about the work. I used my interpersonal abilities, personality traits and friendly attitude to become a part of each department I went through. I observed them carefully to understand their working pattern and ask them questions as to know their job satisfaction level. I found employees to be happy and loyal to the organization owing to the cooperative employers and management. I kept an eye on their relationship with each other and have identified an integrated work force in almost all departments. I maintained a communication each day with the employees during their work timings and after the end of it to build a level of trust and maintain the relationship in a stable manner within and outside the organization. I identified the need of cooperation and conflict resolution through communication and interaction. I have learnt the need to be flexible when working practically in organizations with different people from different ethnic, racial, social, financial and religious backgrounds. This objective helped the organization in knowing the staff and their level of acceptability of a new comer. The way the staff treated an internee and the way they helped at each level showed their concerns relating to the organizational goals and loyalty towards the organization.
