From the ancient times, poverty was considered an unavoidable as it was viewed as the pathway to success. According to history, the most successful people were those who passed through poverty. Poverty is considered as an imperative global issue. Poverty is used by international organizations to group different countries and determines their position in the global world. Poverty is also used as one of the factor to consider in doing business.

Poverty is also used in the determination of the different class of people and their interactions in various ways. In business, poverty is used in the determination of value of goods, and services and that is why most people will invest where poverty is low. People with high levels of poverty struggle a lot to earn their living, and most of them afford one meal a day or none. People do stupid stuffs to try and escape poverty and they end up being criminals. Poverty in different regions began at different times depending in the social and economic factors developments, in the particular area.

According to World Bank statistics, it is estimated that poverty started being felt in 1960s when there was an increase in population. In 1964, Mollie Orshansky of social security administration published the first article of the increase in lack of resources especially food. This was due to the inadequacy in income and increase in population. In Africa, there was a massive increase in population during 1970s and this led to depletion of resources. There was the completion of basic commodities, and this led to batter trade so that people may exchange resources they did not have.

The effects of poverty are extremely grave, and we need to act with speed to curb it. People who are impoverished have inadequate access to basic commodities such as food, clothing, and shelter. There are many people who die of diseases since they cannot afford medical care. In some areas, there are many innocent children who are not accessing education due to lack of fees. The governments and all people should devise means that will ensure all people afford basic commodities. The levels of poverty in the globe are exceedingly enormous, and require immediate solutions and heavy funding.

People should embrace technology so that there is a large-scale production. Agriculture is a key factor that can alleviate poverty, and, therefore, we should put all the viable lands into use. Employment equality should be enforced in most nations, so that there is no dominance of a certain group of people in employment.Poverty in BahrainAccording to the Bahrain center for human rights, half of the population in Bahrain is suffering from poverty and poor living standards. There is massive unemployment and the people are not getting social security from the government.

The number of unemployed adults is 20000, and this number is expected to rise to 80000 due to the rapid increase in population. There high pressure to the government to provide social security to all unemployed, since the country’s economy is doing stable both locally and internationally.ConclusionPoverty is a real global menace that needs adequate attention to reduce it. There are many people suffering in poverty and the number will increase exceptionally fast if the necessary measures are not taken into account.
