“Very Bad Men” explores the story of a man known as Orville Lyn Majors (Huffington Post Site). Orville Lynn Majors had forged his nurse exam to work in an Indiana hospital (Huffington Post Site). Orville had bad motives for working in the hospital and that is why he had tried very hard to secure a chance in the hospital by forging a nursing exam.
Once Orville Lynn had secured a chance in the hospital, he began killing elderly patients who were in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Orville Majors killed the elderly patients in the ICU by increasing the level of potassium in their IVs leading to a heart attack (Alpers 311). The staff was surprised by the drastic increase in the number of deaths in the hospital. The staff carried out an investigation and eventually, Majors was caught (Neer 211).
Lynn was arrested and taken to court where he was convicted of six murders and sentenced to three hundred and sixty years in prison (Huffington Post Site). When Lynn was working in the hospital the number of deaths increased four times every year (Neer 212). This made the authorities suspect more than one hundred people could have been killed by Lynn (Alpers 312).
