On the second report, it is more based on why the vitamin intake is crucial and how it is used, and the effects of supplementation only it is not based on the normal intake of vitamin D unlike the first report, which clearly states the main source of vitamin D other than supplementation. From your reading of the texts, state which one you consider contains the most reliable information about vitamin supplements.

The second report is more educational based on the vitamin supplementation intake thus it does not deal with one particular vitamin and it is supplementation alone. Although the minerals and vitamins doses found in most supplements, are safe, thou very high intake levels of vitamin supplementation intake can be quite harmful and a person is likely to experience harms in the body due to hyper-vitaminosis (NHS 4).

This can occur if a person consumes vitamins in huge amounts over quite long periods (NHS 4). 21. Choose one fact from any of the texts and copy it down. Why do you consider it to be a fact? The best vitamin D source is sunlight absorbed on the skin. Vitamin D is also found in a small number of foods (oily fish, eggs, cheese and meat), but it is hard to attain enough vitamin D from diet alone. Vitamin D is achieved from the morning sunlight and small types of foods.

The diet that contains vitamin D are not easily achieved. 22. Choose one opinion from any of the texts and copy it down. Why do you consider it an opinion? Pregnant women who take vitamin D as part of a multivitamin should avoid supplements containing vitamin A (retinol), which can be harmful in pregnancy (Robinson 2).
