Peeta found his leg bleeding. Katniss felt sorry and tore her sleeve to be tied around Peeta’s leg. She was glad that Peeta’s life had been saved at least. She was trying to make Peeta stay awake the whole night so that he did not get unconscious. She was still hearing the painful moaning of Cato’s and wanted him to die soon. Peeta told her to shoot Cato with an arrow, and she did. This was when they heard the announcement that there was going to be only one winner. But Katniss could not kill Peeta, nor did she want Peeta to kill himself in order to make Katniss win. So, both of them ate poisonous red berries, making their love eternal by dying together. However, later on, both of them were announced as winners. So, they spit out the berries and were saved. Read More
