Phoenix Park is an urban park with many activities taking place; it has its own legislation known as the Phoenix Park Act put in 1925. This enables the offenders around the park to be convicted or arrested in the clause ‘No person shall act contrary to the public morality in the Park’ the Park contains a recreation centre which includes the Dublin zoo the monuments, Gardens, sports grounds for soccer, cricket and polo among others (Leach & Huey). This shows the beautiful scenery as it is a better place to visit when relaxing. Games like sports are also fun to attract people to watch and also participate. The Pecos Park is a park in Phoenix with a multipurpose activities taking place. Situated in the Phoenix park it consists of athlete fields, which are used as a sports ground for most of the games (Leach & Huey 38). There is a lot of noise there as most of the games are played at the same place. This includes runners, some people exercising, and children running here and there - a good place for bonding and also nurture your talent. Guardians and children are seen to be bonding by involving in the game activities, which improves their relationship. There are also adult and baby swimming pools. You can hear there the splashing of water children make while swimming, using floaters and enjoying their time. This is evident from the smile on their faces as they swim, and just have the feeling of water in the air. The children are not the only people swimming. There are also adults who come here during their free time for the recreational activities. It is a good site to visit as while others are swimming, there are those basking in the sunlight, taking refreshments and observing the surrounding. Some people are playing around the swimming pool and some are chatting having a good time there. Some unskilled swimmers are trained by the trainers or use floaters in learning. Lifeguards can also be seen around in case of emergencies. There is also a basketball court where basketball games are taking place, the sounds of which can be heard from the movements of people, pushing each other and also the audience who are cheering. This game seems to need people who are strong as there is the pushing and pulling in the field, and this looks tough to be involved in. Most of them are well fit and tall, which is a major requirement in this field. There is also a tennis court with players who seem to be participating for fun. Tennis playing involves a lot of strength as you can hear some noises as they hit the ball. It requires someone who is muscular as it uses the strength from the arms and also one needs to concentrate on the direction of the ball. The large playground has a lot of activities taking place. People from different places come up together to interact and improve their social skills. Communication is the key because without communication there would be no understanding and people may not be able to enjoy their stay in this park. From my observation there can be felt some romance in the air from the behavior of couples in the playground. Noises are heard from the playground from the running and jumping activities. Different people come for different reasons as some are just staring and not participating, while others are taking active part in the games. The gymnasium and the fitness centre are used by people to keep fit. One can smell the sweat from people who strain a lot in the exercise activity. This seems demanding and self motivating as people need to use their strengths in exercising. Some people are in the treadmill, others by the use of an instructor are involved in different activities, like Yoga, practiced in the fitness area. The gymnasium consists of mainly men, unlike fitness centre which attracts females mostly. The skating field is one fun place to watch by many people, especially the youth enjoy skating. Some are not good at this as they are held while skating, while others are used to the skating activity. It seems to be fun and needs concentration as one needs to be able to balance well. This is mostly done by courageous people as people who are not ready to take risks might find it difficult and taking a lot of time while training (Leach & Huey 43). Their movement can be very relaxing and good, as some are outrageous and perform very difficult stunts which might lead to complications if it does not go as expected. There is a lot of competition as people try to outdo each other and showcase their skills in this field. It has a large area of approximately 1.5 acre which is used for dog’s recreation activities. This includes different species like the German shepherd, bull dogs among others. They are given the chance of being able to relate with other dogs and also develop skills. Some which are not friendly and shy can be seen standing aside in this place (Leach & Huey 47). This seems to be a good place for dogs as they run around and are involved in games by chasing each other. You can also listen to the backing of the dogs here and there causing a lot of noise in the place. It has a lightened soccer field which can be used during day time and night shifts. The lighting has been well put and observers can see the matches without any complications. It also has a field for soccer where people participate in matches. This can be friendly for fun with the football fanatics (Leach & Huey 92). It also has a reservation for observers andwhich is a good place to sit, relax and watch the activities taking place in the area. The sand and concrete volleyball courts are also a good place to go to either watch or play. The sand court seems to be fun looking like the beach. From the above we can see that the Park has numerous activities which take place and by being a participative observer it made it easier to interact with everyone. This shows the friendly culture by the people as most of them are ready to socialize and participate in different activities which cannot be done by an individual. Only the involvement of different people regardless of their social standards in such park activities can bring people together. Works Cited Leach, Nicky J, and George H. H. Huey.
