I do not to know what to think. One thing is for sure, the United States comprises many ethnic groups, cultures and races. How the Latino fits into the American society, is still in a process of evolution. I attended the event.
Electric energy: Am attracted to the people who smile and enjoy themselves. The music was passionate and live. I could not resist moving to the rhythm of the salsa music, even though it is not my kind of music. I actually love rock music instead. There was smell and taste of delicious ethnic foods from all over central and Latin America. I also observed dancing children. Although I did not expect it, I felt like I was fitting. It was a visual feast. There were colorful booths, ethnic costumes, colorful people and different races.
I felt a sense of ethnic pride and richness from the people. There was a lot of joy from the music as people were having fun. The atmosphere looked easy and there was a sense of belonging. It was a great time to meet new friends and to socialize.
Sight: I could see happy people dancing. Moreover, I saw colorful booths and a salsa band by the name, Julio Bravo orchestra. This happened to be the headliner band in the cultural event.
