For example in the second sentence by inserting the connector ‘first’ at the beginning, it would result in creating a chronological flow in the paragraph. This is because the use of connectors and phrases reinforce the topic sentence and exhibit the relationship of sentences in the paragraph. In addition, I would advise him to focus on all the differences of one item first before tackling the other item. For example, tackling all the differences on high school first then focusing on the differences on college.
Furthermore, I would advise him to use the point by point by point approach. This is because it would help in the effective organization and easy understanding of the differences outlined as well as preventing the reader from confusion. Lastly, I would advise him not to be biased in outlining the differences whereby he only gives out positive information about college at the expense of High school. This is because the writer should not slant his/her evaluation but offer honest and open comparisons that allow the reader to draw their own conclusions.
