8 November Comparison and Contrast Snowfall and rainfall are as different from each other as solids and liquids are, yet they have many things in common. This paper discusses three ways in which snowfall and rainfall are similar. Both snowfall and rainfall are related to weather. Sometimes, it only rains while at other times, it only snows, yet there are also times when both can be simultaneously observed. In either case, they depict the weather. Both snowfall and rainfall convert into water which runs off the streets, joins the canals and lakes and evaporates into the atmosphere.

This increases humidity in the air. Thus, both snow and rain have both direct and indirect impacts upon the weather. Both snowfall and rainfall regulate heat and lower the temperature. Consequently, the climate is colder. As snow or rain droplets come down, they absorb the heat and acidic gases in the environment as a result of which, air becomes fresh and revived. Both snowfall and rainfall are quite pleasing to the mood. Weather in which it is either raining or snowing is conventionally deemed quite suitable for making the video of a lovely duet song or a romantic movie.

Owing to the pleasant effect of the snowfall and the rainfall upon the mood, people plan different kinds of recreational activities in both. When there is snowfall, people throw snow balls upon one another and make the snow man. When it rains, people go out, bathe in the rain and preferably enjoy some coffee and Indian pakoras in the rain.
