My Middle School Life Experience - Essay Example

Personal Narrative Bye Bye Elementary School Well done! One can never think the moment will disembark, but now it is...you have at last graduated from elementary school! At present it's time to budge on up to the gigantic groups. That's correct...you are on to take the middle school. These were my innermost feelings when I passed from my elementary school. I was more excited as I was shifting my school. My previous school lasted till elementary school only. The Middle School was located on the outskirts of urban area of South Korea. Our family and other relatives have been living in Korea; I was born in same state. I have seen my life here only in Korea and have enjoyed being the youngest in all siblings. People use to settle in this particular newly developed urban city due to two reasons. Firstly the poor use to establish them here, as it was not expensive states those days. Secondly, the rich people or the upper class uses to settle in this area to discover business ventures and to earn a lot of money. I was quite proud being designated as upper class or elite citizen. Middle School Life Experience In the beginning, middle school seemed to me like an inexplicable place occupied of strangers and bombshells. I encountered new people, new school topics, new activities, and loads of more teachers than I was used to. This might seem frightening because now I was a tiny fish in a big pool, but keep in mind: all new incidents are fearsome at initial. If one has the correct approach and rock-hard info on what to anticipate, one can be a middle school specialist in no time. In middle school, I made up a large number of upper class friends since the start of my school days. In my school there was a categorized difference in the lower or poor class students and the upper or elite class. Classmates felt very proud if they had any elite classmate in their group. There was a marked difference in the treatment as well. Even teachers use to appreciate students who belonged to upper class family status or whose parents or ancestors were quite rich and big investors. Teachers even used to keep away elite students from the poor students so that their social status did not get disturbed. This class difference was unfortunately inborn in me since my childhood as I have always been in influential class. I packed myself in a lot of social friends who belong to high status families. In my own class, I was quite powerful to turn things in favor of me as I belonged to top social category. I use to rule over my classmates. My ego was quite strong in my social behaviors and I use to talk to classmates of my set only and never use to talk even a bit to poor fellows. Some of these elite classmates were even junkies, as if bullying poor classmates, buying expensive stuffs, showing off, mocking, playing video games, having fun all the time with luxuries and not more serious about the studies. Most of them were not good graders even. When my poor fellows who were the top graders, tried to be friendly with me, I just harassed theme and passed bad comments of them being poor so badly that it would have been very insulting for them. There was a girl in my class who belonged to lower social class, was quite studious and wanted to be my friend but never actually told me directly. One day she made up a courage to come to me in break time and said "Hello, can I talk to you for a minute" I first laughed like anything on her, and then I replied, "Why I would like to talk to you, you poor creature". She became quite embarrassed as I was quite loud and with my other top classmates. She felt so pale and yellow that time that she turned back and starting moving a head of us. Suddenly I jumped in front of her and with my mates I started bullying and harassed her. We laughed loudly on her and even touched her with fingers and I said " you want to do friendship with me, and for this you have to kiss my shoe". We did not let her move. No one came near us to stop us from bullying her. She suddenly said, "Sorry, I am really sorry, please forgive me" but we all laughed thunderously at her. Just as she was about to bend down, the break time got over and we all had to abandon her and went to the next session. The girl did not appeared in school for the next whole week nor she complained any one as she knew that how powerful I was and it will be useless to criticize as school admin will definitely take side of the elite class. Next time when I saw her she was in another section but I never saw her in break time again and so never got chance to harass her. Time passed on and after 4 years, one evening as I was watching a documentary program on television, I saw a live case where a girl was a harassed victim at her school by some boys. I increased the volume and came more close to the T.V. I saw that the girl was now a mental patient on regular checkups. She is not leading a normal life as her senses have become weak. She was almost turned into a vegetable. She used to get afraid on even the cracking sound of the door. Doctors were trying their best to bring her to normal life but the medicines were making her immune system weaker. Her diet was badly affected due to her mental sickness and doctors said to her parents that they might even loose her. Suddenly, I became shocked after watching this. My early elementary school days came in my mind. The girl I harassed, I remembered her face so well. How much afraid she was as I am going to kill her. I realized why she changed her section, why she did not attended her break times. Why she use to get away when she saw me. I did not slept the whole night thinking about the girl I saw on TV and the girl I use to harass. I waited for the morning to come but that night seemed to me quite long. Then morning came and the first thing I did when I entered school, I looked for that girl. I found her in one corner with other girls. As soon as she saw me that I am coming near her she moved away from me, as much quickly as she could. I walked fast and held her hand. She was cold like a frozen fish. I saw the same paleness and horror as I saw the day I harassed her. But then I said Sorry! She was shocked on my statement. As if I have forgiven her of a murder or I have given her heaven. Since then, we are good friends till now and I left all the bad habits of top social class. I realized that a class is in humanity, not in discrimination.
