The Link Between Productiveness And Motivation Various people have different things that motivate them to be who they are in their lives and these things make them aggressive to exploit every opportunity available to them or fail to do so. For some people, the experiences in their environment, the relationships they have and the activities in which they take part, make some to respond in various ways to the benefit or to the detriment of their lives. Life has many occurrences, which an individual is not able to predict and they have different impacts on the life of the involved. Some things that happen in live come as surprise and bring happiness while some others happen and cause serious distress because their outcome is a loss of important aspect of life. In case of the issues that happen in the life of a person, how that person responds to it becomes an important way because it enhances his or her participation in the society. In the same way, a person may have various opportunities within his or her capability but the choice to participate in any of them should not be influenced by what other people may have as opinion about it but rather what he or she feels is the best thing to do. This means that a person needs to do something he or she will be passionate so that he will be able to be productive even without motivation from other people. Neil Pasricha presents a talk about The Three A’s of Awesome in which he describes the need of exploration of the opportunities that are available to a person to make life good. In some instances, he uses the example of the things that happened to his family when his father and mother started living in Toronto in the late 1960s in their mid twenties and how his sister and him grew to be mature individuals. Pasricha narrates how the early life his sister and him lived was with little care about the things that were otherwise important to his parents and how they perceived the different things that they experienced. He narrates how some of the things in his life shaped his life through triggering a sense of happiness and others triggered a lot of pain in his life. Pasricha faced the effects of the economic meltdown that happened in 2008 and 2009 and he had to suffer other things but later he did the things that he liked the most in his life and it brought a lot of benefit to him. He made a blog site that he observed grow from just a single reader to award winning blog that was attracting millions of readers from all over the world. In giving these stories among others, Pasricha tried to show the importance of three A’s, which represented the Attitude, Awareness and Authenticity. In describing the importance of attitude, Pasricha argued that a person should be driven to take an action by the positive feeling he has about something in such a way that he cannot be influenced away from what he or she believes. The second A stands for awareness for which he says that it is important for a person to know the environment and processes that happen in the world. The third A represents authenticity in which he argues that a person ought to engage himself or herself in the thing that he or she is passionate about without considering what other have to say discourage him or her. He emphasizes that authenticity is a quality of life that helps a person to be happy about what he or she is and it motivates one to be very successful in life. According to Pasricha, combination of the three A’s in the life of a person assures him of success in all activities he undertakes to do. In my analysis of the description of the contribution of the aspects of attitude, awareness and authenticity as advanced by Pasricha, it is possible to succeed in life. Having a positive attitude about the activities that one participates in life makes a person to pursue his or her goals in the midst of challenges without losing the focus. With a positive attitude, a person is able to counter the challenges of life and make sure that he or she can achieve what he intends and combining it with the knowledge of the different procedures that people have to take enables high achievement. This is because a person is able to exploit opportunities using various methods without and increasing the chances of success in any venture. Authenticity as a quality of life of a person enables him or her to be responsible in all the activities and prevent him or her from being influenced by others to quit the pursuit for success. I grew up among young boys who liked sporting activities and they participated in several of them. Most of them liked to play football and were passionate and they could involve me in their teams many times. Although I was a good player and I would outperform many, I was not passionate about football as my friends and I just participated to have company. I was passionate to address people in different situations and therefore, I would get the least available opportunity to speak to my friends while we were about to leave the field. In many instances, I represented my team in solving small disputes and I was successful in many circumstances. In my schooling, I have represented many classes as their team leader for a long time in which occasions I would seize any opportunity to give a small speech to my class whenever we had an issue. I feel that I have ability of a good public speaker and a potential leader to a group of people and can face any antagonism. The passion to pursue the goals a person could want to needs motivation but the inner motivation that is triggered by passion, awareness of the processes and methods and having a positive attitude is the most important source power to move on. It takes a person courage and passion to face challenges and have the conviction that he or she will attain the desired results. Work Cited Pasricha, Neil. The 3 A's of awesome. Online Video Clip.
