?Marriage Equality/ Same-sex Marriage in the United s It is important for children to have married parents. Therefore, the American Academy of Pediatrics believes that the same-sex couples need to be allowed to get married. According to a policy statement, same-sex marriage is a controversial topic but legalizing same-sex marriage would be the right thing to do. Every individual in the society has the equal right to participate in communal organizations. It is evident that the discussions on same-sex marriage are still a burning issue that divides the society. A significant part of the American population believes that the same-sex marriage should not be legalized as it violates the law of nature. On the other hand, according to several survey reports, a huge number of people within the US believe that same-sex marriage should be recognized and legalized. The whole population can be segmented into two groups: one group is in favor of same sex marriage while another group opposes it. The law of nature, civil rights, human rights and judiciary system are highly involved in this topic of same-sex marriage. After several social and political debates, current US president Mr. Barack Obama also shared his views about the marriage between same sex couples (Kaster 1). He said that the same sex couples should be allowed to marry. It is the first time in history that a President of the United States of America is sharing his views on same-sex marriage. Legalization of same sex marriage has become one of the most critical political factors. The positive views put forward by the current president of the country were gleefully appreciated by a major portion of the population. Several countries now have taken the path to support the decision of marrying same sex individuals. Now-a-days, the government of United States is also supporting the issue. Supreme Court has also legalized the concept of same sex marriage. Moreover according to new regulations the same sex couples can adopt children. The recognition of same sex unions and marriages are under the authoritarian of the states. On the other hand, the same sex couples have to face limitations in joint tax return form, spousal benefits and immigration rights. However the opponents or in other words who did not support the issue of same sex marriage have put forward several drawbacks of such marriage which can be discussed now. First of all, it is not called a traditional version of marriage. In addition, same sex marriage is not socially recognized. It is highly acceptable that the same sex couple cannot procreate. Moreover, it is known to all that the same sex couples are unable to reproduce themselves. According to a major part of respondents, the marriage of same sex couple is not the issue of civil rights. It is highly acknowledgeable that the same sex marriage can affect the social or communal balance in the United States of America or for any country. Specially, the children of same sex couples can find it difficult to discriminate the genders. Lack of social reputation and sexual orientation can hamper the growth of children. Considering all the issues and negative aspects, it is important to consider the ethics and human rights of the same sex couples. It is highly evident that the attitude and behavior of human being is transforming dramatically in recent years. Marriage is one of the important forms of celebration of two couples’ relationship. Marriage is a particular bond between two individuals that solidifies the relationship. One of the researchers initiated a survey work in the year 2012 in order to know the opinions of the citizens of America. According to the responses of majority of the respondents, it can be found out that the idea of same sex marriage needs to be recognized. Some researchers have argued that allowing same sex marriage can help the same sex couple to fulfill their desire to adopt children. It is not quite an equal right issue. The psychology level of the same sex couples is very much hard and difficult to understand for the common people. It is true that according to the global human right policy, each and every individual has the equal right to fulfill their desire of having children. Human beings are the most innovative creation of god (Gerstmann 121). Therefore, it is the responsibility for each and every society to recognize the needs, desire and attitude of all the social animals. Being a significant part of the society it is very much important to provide social reputation and status to all the individuals. The concept of same sex marriage needs to be legalized in order to provide social reorganization to the same sex couples. However, the marriage between same sex couples can also be discussed from the point of view of ethics and human rights policies. The children of same sex couples can find it difficult to discriminate between two genders. Moreover, lack of sexual orientation can hamper the future of these children. Therefore, it is the responsibility of leading NGOs, government of America and Supreme Court to generate a child development agency. It will help the children to discriminate between several heterosexual and homosexual factors. The groups of people who are supporting the same sex marriage have stated that the same sex couples need to hold the civil right to marry as it would provide several legal benefits to them. Moreover, the society of America is based on the concept of freedom and independence. Looking into these aspects, the Supreme Court has already approved same sex marriage as the civil right. According to the final opinion of the respondents, it can be identified that the same sex couples should adopt children in order to fulfill their needs and desire (Newton 67). People have questioned that why the society cannot support the marriage between same sex couples. It is their human right to do so. It can be argued that the happiness and joy of these same sex couples can be enhanced through marriage. Moreover, according to the policies of human rights, it can be stated that United State of America’s Federal Government should recognize the concept of marriage between the same sex couples. Throughout history, the global societies had globally campaigned on the idea of same sex marriage and tried to bring out the opinions of the common people on this topic. Pairing of two individuals into an intimate relationship is considered as the symbol of social status. The significance of marriage in a society is to be together in a specific way that increases the growth level of an economy within a society or a state or a country (Hertz 92). The environment of global society is transforming due to the acceptance of advanced technology, science, liberal interpretation trends and societal graces. These aspects have motivated and encouraged the same sex couples to be together through the form of social event that is known as same sex marriage. It is evident that the number of same sex couple is dramatically increasing due to the liberal rules and regulation structure of several states. In addition, the government of several states and countries are allowing this same sex marriage as the civil rights similar to the traditional concept of marriage between two individuals. This same sex marriage is allowed in some states which has created a critical disconnection between the same sex couples in US as the privileges and protection are still not allowed (Andryszewski 54). Considering the human rights it can be argued that the marriage between the same sex couples needs to be legalized in the United States of America. Several homosexual and heterosexual couples are beginning to follow same sex marriage. It has become one of the important social trends in several modern societies. It is also important to change the policies and laws in order to eliminate discrimination against the people who live together to evade tax, insurance compulsions and for financial reasons. The federal government of United States of America needs to follow the laws and constitutions of the country. It is known to all that the inner feelings of a gay or a lesbian is created by nature. Attraction of an individual to other same sex individual does not come artificially. Nature and biological structure is very much responsible for this. It is highly acceptable that the conservative Christians cannot allow the concept of same sex marriage. They will always oppose the concept of same sex marriage. According to them it will be harsh to the society and future generation as it will be difficult for the children belonging to the same sex family to differentiate the individuals from two different genders (Povoledo 1). Moreover, lack of sexual orientation will affect the future of children. It is true that the children cannot involve with other students freely due to the problem of lack in sexual orientation. In order to overcome these problems, the leading NGOs around the globe are trying to make these children mature about homosexual and heterosexual orientation. It is the responsibility of the same sex couples to make their children educated about the different aspects of two genders i.e. man and woman. Religion has greater impact on this same sex marriage legalization. Conservative people from several religions believe that same sex marriage can violate the balance of nature and society (Cantor 23). According to these people, the same sex couples can only motivate their children to be either gay or lesbian. Therefore, it is recommended that ethics of morale and human rights need to be balanced. The identity of an individual should be respected according to the biological structure, attitude and nature of an individual. In order to maintain the balance between religious aspects, social aspects and human rights aspects, it is highly recommended that the society, federal government and Supreme Court should detach the religious characteristic of marriage from the social aspects. In this modern era of civilization, it is evident that the needs and desire of people are transforming from the traditional aspects. Therefore, it is the responsibility to provide reorganization to these same sex couples through legalization and allow same sex marriage as they are also a part of the society. Over the past years, it is evident that the governments of various states are amending their laws in order to cater for the civil rights of the unions of same sex couples. Throughout history it is evident that the same sex couples have been ignored from their rights as compared to other straight couples. Now-a-days, the government of several states is recognizing the domestic partnership and civil unions between the same sex couples. Moreover, these same sex couples are accorded by several benefits to their civil rights. Considering the same sex marriage rules, regulations and policies, the same sex couples can access several family health plans. Moreover, they can have the protection relating to separation or divorce under these state laws. According to the new marriage equality rules, the same sex couples can adopt children or can take the help of artificial process to have children in order to satisfy their personal desire and needs. Civil unions are far away from the receiving the constitutional and equal rights as other traditional marriages in America. Several social agencies helped the same sex couples and the representatives of human rights also made efforts for legal improvement of same sex marriage. It is evident that still the federal government of America is denying approving all the demands of the same sex couples. United States is considered as the most democratic country in the world but unfortunately the federal government of United States of America is still grappling with these issues. The next critical issue is whether the same sex partners can be granted the same rights and policies comparing to the straight couples. However, as it has been discussed earlier that the topic of same sex marriage is highly controversial. Considering the human rights and morale of ethics it can be stated that the same sex marriage needs to be granted as the civil right. The federal government of United States of America should recognize the same sex marriage as the traditional social marriage. All the marriage benefits under the law, such as spousal benefits, joint tax return and immigration rights need to be remained elusive for the same sex couples. Same sex marriage is legally recognized in several countries like Argentina, Brazil, Belgium, Canada, Denmark and France. The subject of same sex marriage is debatable due to the different opinions of several people whether to vote for or against the concept of same sex marriage. Various religious trends are addressing various points of views on the marriage between same sex couples. Moreover, the concept of same sex marriage is highly controversial in the United States of America. The same sex marriage was first legalized in Denmark. Observing this, the governments of several countries also have legalized the same sex marriage. From the above arguments it can be said that the behavior of same sex couples towards their marriage is wholly genetic. This behavior cannot be changed as the nature and biological structure of those individuals are responsible for these behaviors. Homo sexual marriage is similar to any other traditional marriage. According to the genetics and typical biological structure of the same sex couples, they try to be together as other straight couples tend to do. A marriage is a particular form of t celebration of the eternal relationship between couples. Considering the human rights and morale of ethics, it can be stated that the same sex couples should have the legal right to lead a happy personal life. Although there are several drawbacks of same sex marriage but it is the responsibility of the government and the society to rectify these issues. It is recommended that all the religious aspects involved in the marriage can be separated from the social issues. Mr. Barack Obama also believes that the same sex marriage should be legalized. All the people within a society have important values. It is the responsibility of the society to give social reputation to these individuals. The wish to marry same sex individual cannot be referred to as sin. It comes from natural genetics and specific biological structures of the individuals. Therefore it can be suggested that the same sex couples should be eligible for all the civil rights and same sex marriage or marriage equality should be legalized in US.
