? Training Plan For Crocheting and Knitting Training is a continuous process that an employee or any individual needs to engage in to become successful in life. Training is like education that earns individuals knowledge and understanding in various aspects of life. The following is a training plan on crocheting for seven adult Saudi Arabian women. The paper will begin by discuss various aspects of a good training plan and will wind down with the actual instruction plan to be used in the training process. Introduction Training plan is a framework that provides guidance and direction to the contents, activities and group of participants to be involved in the training process. Training plan for adults could involve enhancing and improving the initial knowledge on particular field acquired by learners or continuing employees or very new learners. Crocheting and knitting are very technical fields that continue to undergo evolution from time to time with changes and advancement in fashion thus the need for repeated training. Every crocheting organization has to adapt to the changes in models and techniques of crocheting and ensure that all employees are updated to the current trends and styles in creating fabrics as well as marketing the same. Failure by any organization to offer training to update its employees is a sure way of failing of that particular organization. Program Ideas This training plan for crocheting and knitting is structured and designed to provide elaborate training as well as updating seven Saudi Arabian women about the current trends and modes of crocheting that are highly competitive in market. These women have to be provided with explicit training by reviewing the initial stages of crocheting in order to prepare them for the next and actual stage of training. Drawing a plan for training Saudi Arabian women about crocheting will provide good timelines that will agree and work properly with the private schedules of the participants. In order to become successful, the training parameter for the Saudi Arabia women has to involve some bits of past commitments and knowledge to foster understanding in the currently planed training program. Since Saudi Arabians give little consideration to women when it comes to decision making, the training plan for crocheting of the Saudi Arabian women shall not seek the trainees’ participation in every level of decision making. The training plan shall also be sensitive of time management and ensure that everything is done within the set time frame bearing the same time conscious nature of the Saudi Arabians. Furthermore, the training plan on crocheting shall also ensure that the training is done free of pressure as this conforms to the desires of the Saudi Arabians. As with the political context in the organizations operating in Saudi Arabia, the training plan on crocheting of the Saudi women shall ensure that every decision made involve participation of the organization’s leader before enacting and implementing. The training plan shall also be sensitive on consulting the elders of the employing organization and the surrounding community concerning every step and principles to be set for the Saudi women during their training process on crocheting and knitting. The training plan shall also involve time allowance for the Saudi Arabian women on training to attend community functions as well as moments to advice their counterparts in the community. The training plan for the Saudi Arabian women shall also rely on the permission from the top executive as allowing the women to participate and engage in the training process. This second stage of training shall two significant areas as the first shall involve reiteration and review of the hand stitching while the other will involve stitching by use of machine. The students will be reminded that hand stitching is the basic beginning point in the field of crocheting and knitting. It after the students prove to be well versed and proficient in hand stitching that they will be qualified to transpire to learn about machine stitching. In the learning process, the adult students have to reckon that machine stitching is the easiest and fastest technique of stitching when compared to hand stitching. Stage Three: Single Crochet This stage will introduce and remind learners about making single crochets. The instructor has to reiterate to learners that single crocheting is the main and basic level of crocheting without which an individual cannot double crochet thus translating to wastage of time in the training process. in the third stage of training, the particular student will be taught how to implant the crochet hook, methods and techniques of yarning, designing circles, doing reverse yarn and designing yarn in two hoops. Stage Four: Dual Crochet From the initial stage of crocheting where students are taught concerning single crocheting, lessons about dual crocheting will follow only when students prove proficiency with single crocheting. At this stage, students should be made to be very careful and reminded that it is the stage where the most important crocheting techniques like creation of patterns and designs are taught. By the end of this stage of training, the student should learn how to cover the yarn, merge loops, create basis chains, yarn over circles and combine the covered yarns by use of two circles (Manthey & Brittan, 2012) Stage Five: Slip Stitching This stage will require the particular student to have good understanding and grasp of the methods of single and double crocheting, which will enable them to learn how to join different parts of stitches. This stage will furnish the learner with knowledge on how to slip stitches. Students should be informed that slip stitching as in this stage helps in combining different crocheted items. Students need to know that slip stitching is the easiest and smoothest stitching technique in crocheting. Slip stitching technique will enable the student or the learner to create long chains, back wrap and sketch as well as joining different hooks (Manthey & Brittain, 2012) Stage Six: Different Stitching Techniques The sixth stage of training will enable the student learn about the techniques of increasing as well as decreasing the double crochets and forming popcorn stitches. There are several designs one can learn from slip stitching by mixing one work with the other. At this stage, the students should also learn about various stitching designs like the post stitching, back stitching, switch stitching, threefold stitching, prickle stitching and the use of various colors in different stitching (Manthey & Brittain, 2012) Stage Seven: Crochet Finishing Techniques: This stage is in fact the final stage in the training process and basically enables and ensures that students can crochet in the appropriate manner. This stage combines all the previously learned techniques and process of crocheting to produce wonderful and attractive fabrics. In addition, this stage of crocheting provides opportunity for evaluation and correction of all mistakes that may be present to ensure that what students produce is up to the standards of the organization and the market. Furthermore, this is the stage when students should be taught about decorative practices of the created fabrics and addition of various parts that make crocheted work appear lovely to the potential target market.
