I can see that though there are a lot of problems our society is facing today, such as corruption and crimes, I think that one of the problems that need urgent attention is homelessness. This is because of the fact that homelessness is one that would make a person be physically and emotionally depressed, unloved, and desperate that would push them to start doing things that would cost problems in society which results all the other problems we see today. I strongly believe that the development of a person with integrity would start with being secured in all aspects of life even in the smallest detail such as having a place to keep warm in and food to fill the stomach with.

One that would ease the problem would be to create more opportunities for these people to make a living by opening doors for jobs for them. Speaking of the rights of homeless people to live in the streets, I think that it is not a right for them to be happy about or to fight for to live in the streets because every human deserve to have utmost security and have an opportunity for a good life. I think it is about time to raise the bars on society’s standards for the low income population by not settling with giving them literally a place to stay such as a part of our streets but a decent home.

Journal: Black Men and Public Space by Staples Black Men and Public Space would probably be one of the most humor full read I have ever had, though it was not quite implied. This is because of the fact that the misconceptions and the easy judgment made by people based on the looks could go wildly untrue especially because the character who tells the story in this book claimed to be a shy guy and a coward himself. However, understanding it deeply, by putting myself in the shoes of these black men, it is sad and frustrating to know that you will forever have to alter how you react and move to ease the misconception society has of you because you are black.

This brings me to the issue of racism and I have seen similar things happen as well, where Chinese people or Asians generally would be perceived as Buddhist altogether or perhaps those who cannot get their English right. “This Is Water” by Wallace There was a time that I remember so well which I consider a life altering moment for me when I was working on a project with a co-worker and yet, despite her helping me equally in carrying out the whole thing, she slowly files one task over another at my table and had me doing it all alone.

This was a moment when I really was growing hot with rage and yet I chose to not say anything which does not mean that I was totally being nice to her. My actions surely spoken a lot of what I had at the back of my mind. However, later on that day, I heard that she was going to be absent for quite some time because she had to go get a chemotherapy and she was suffering with breast cancer. Now, using this is a background instead of my default background that revolved around the stress she was causing me, who’s the bad guy now?

Clearly, it was me. This is when I learned how to alter the background of things that annoy me and turn it to a passageway for sympathy. Essay: On Compassion by Ascher “It is only with the heart that man can see rightly. What is essential is invisible to the eye”. This is one of my favorite quotes that I started living by slowly. This is because
